They serve you so much food that you can't deny that your getting your monies worth. There is a great selection and the food is really good. The decor is kind of tacky and can use some updating but all the Flames are like this - part of their personality I guess. The service is quick and friendly and you pay up front at the register. They have lunch and dinner her as well but I think they are best suited for the breakfasts.
My father treated us to Sunday brunch here one weekend and boy did our stomachs have a wonderful time! First off, Flames reminds me of a small town American diner where everybody knows everybody. The waitress was so warm and cordial it seemed like she had known us for years! Not only did she regularly check to see if we needed anything, she happily provided my children with more than enough crayons and paper to keep them occupied while the adults enjoyed the rest of the meal. Even though the brunch consisted of standard items like scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, etc., everything was scrumptious and
devoured! Definitely check out Flames if you like to have delicious, long and leisurely brunches with your family on the weekends.
I ate dinner on August 27th. I ordered a cold sandwich which had a piece of tooth pick stuck on the bottom of the bread. Luckily I saw it before I bit into the sandwich. Today August 28th. I have had stomach cramping from some form of bacteria in the meat, cheese, or bread. The sandwich did not look very fresh prior to eating it, but I ate it anyway. I am a native from Milpitas. I used to eat at Flames sometimes twice a week for dinner. The service was better, and the food was always fresh. I called and spoke with a manager on duty. He was very non responsive when I told him about what happened. He didn't even offer me a refund or meal replacement. I will never eat at the Milpitas Flames ever again
Pros: average breakfast
Cons: poor dinner service
Used to be my favorite place for chicken fried steak for breakfast. Last time we went about a week ago the price increased by about $3.00 portions half as big, gravy like water. Sorry you lost us.
Cakes are still the best.
Great place to EAT. Best service! Nice people. Family owned so you get family great service. Sick of all the trendy little plates that give you no food. You get what you order here and its great. And its great for large groups....
It is a great place to go for breakfast. No matter how busy they (and they can get pretty busy) are I have always gotten seated within 5 minutes. The staff are really friendly and the service is always quick. There are plently of staff available should you need something in a pinch. The amount of foor you get is ridiculous-there is SO much of it. So amke sure you go with a large appetite.
Pros: Inexpensive, a lot of food, great service
I have gone to several of the Flames Restaurants and have never been disappointed. Breakfast and lunches are promptly served. The value is excellent.
Pros: qualtity service, quality food, good value
Cons: not enough locations
Service and food are much better at the winchester Blvd location in San Jose. Very good breakfast, huge portions and great cofee...
Flames has never disappointed. Service is tops! Seafood is always fresh. They even gave us a free slice of cake when celebrating Secretary's Day!
Pros: service, cleanliness, selection
Cons: salads
