We ordered the Caprese salad. They happily split the dish for two people for no charge. Iced tea, beer and salad for $12. Such a deal & it was delicious. What a find for a West Los Angelean visiting for the day!

Pros: Ample portions

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

The garlic cheese bread was great! We had a wonderful beef carpaccio appetizer! The very best thing we ordered was a veal dish with porcini mushroom sauce, it was the reason we will be back and why I'm writing this review!

I was introduced to the lovely Italian cafe by my Dad a few years ago and it has becoming a favorite dining spot for our family. The service is quick and friendly. Since it is a small restaurant in a small town, if you go in more than once chances are the hostess and servers may remember you and always offer a smile. The portions are generous yet not overwhelming and they have an extensive wine list to accompany their many great dishes. The meals are moderately prices and worth every penny.I love the spaghetti carbonara as well as the spaghetti bolagnaise, the orange and berry crem brule is awesome. If you are looking for a smaller charming restaurant to take a date or to take your family, cafe allegro is the place.

PROS: The food, ambience and price
CONS: the brown bred
