Love the Decor. Love the Martini's. The garlic fries are to die for. Did I mention the delicious Crepes. I can't ever chose just one. Never a disappointment.

My friends and I met the very nice owners and purchased really cute black long sleeve shirts with "La Creperie" written in gold across the chest. Too bad my shirt ripped not long afterward....I better go get a new one, anyways, I digress! We got both sweet and savory crepes for our table and we enjoyed them all. I try to come to La Creperie every time I drive down to Long Beach.

I have been to the Creperie like 4 or 5 times. i like the food, but it is pricey and the portions are small. i wish they would make "regular american" food size, not "french people" size. the regular large size is just too small. Last time I was there i ordered two of the large dinner size crepes. so i got plenty, but i paid plenty too.
the building decor is a little weird, but overall a good place. i will go back.

The food and the crepes are wonderful, service is ok, what you would expect for a busy place. I am surprised that people do not walk out without paying as it takes so long to get your check and then even long to pay. I wish they would make the patio non-smoking, so many times have I just wanted to sit outside and enjoy the ambience of the patio to be put off by people smoking. Even if you sit inside you can still smell the smoke because they door is open, do people think that smoke does not travel, it is very off putting hence the rating of only average.

With its lavish decorations and delicious food this restaurant has turned all of my friends into frequenters when they feel like driving to Long Beach. The quality of food is undeniable whether you get a sweet or savory crepe.

To be honest it is a bit pricey for a day time treat, but for dinner and breakfast it is worth it.

Also, if you have been to or are from Europe it can be a nostalgic visit; it is one of the few places I have seen that serve Orangina and where you may find people dipping garlic fries in mayonaise.

If you're looking of a romantic place to dine, La Creperie doesn't fall short of excellent French cuisine. The menu is filled with delicious French crepes, both savory and sweet to your liking. The atmosphere of the restaurant creates just the right aura to a romantic evening for two or a casual lunch rendez-vous on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is just like dining at a cafe in Paris. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is so good!!! My personal favorite is the Di Pollo crepe. They have a good variety of crepes as well as other dishes. The atmosphere is really cool too. The decor is very 'french bistro' and they usually have some sort of music during dinner. You can watch them make you're food through a glass window to the kitchen. The downsides are that there is often a long wait, so make reservations if possible or go during off peak hours. The service is unpredictable. There have been times where it's good and times when it took forever just to get our order placed, much less received. But again, the food is excellent!!

Le Creperie is a favorite of mine out of all the restaurants on 2nd Street. The wait can be up to 30 minutes at the busiest time, but there is a comfy lounge seating area so you can relax and browse the menu. The decor is slightly over-the-top with wall sized mirrors, leopard print chairs, and giant chandeliers; but it makes for a very bohemian atmosphere. There's a window to the kitchen on the back wall where patrons seated in that area can watch the crepes made fresh by hand. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and wine list. I prefer going on Mondays when bottles of wine are 1/2 off. It's slightly less crowded, but still lively especially for being early in the week. The place smells lightly of garlic fries, which I absolutely recommend trying (you won't be disappointed!). The food is great, but again, the wait can be kind of long. Definitely save room for a desert crepe. My favorite is the classic crepe suzette. Overall, Le Creperie has a very pleasant atmosphere, enjoyable food, and no rush service so you can sit back and socialize over a bottle of wine or two!

This is one of the worst and most humiliating experience I've ever had in my whole entire life. I was out celebrating with my friends for my 21st bday and was hoping to have a good time, but what I walked out with was having my pride and dignit\y destroyed. When we finished paying the bill, the waiter basically harrassed me and told me in her sarcastic way how grateful she was with our tip, at which i truthfully thought she meant. Then she said "thank you so much for your 8 cent tip. Next time you should reconsider how you tip your server." I still didnt get what she meant because my friend did leave like a 7 dollar tip. As we walked out, we were still trying to figure out what happened. Then we were confronted by a person who told us in her exact words, " if you guys don't know how to tip, then don't come back again." At first i felt bad that such a thing happened of the misunderstanding and so we came back to give her a 20 dollar tip. But the more we thought about it the more restless we became. They didn't even deserve a penny of it. I regret ever giving it. I spent my entire 21st bday thinking about the humuliation inflicted upon us. What made us even more furioius was that she was the MANAGER and she went around spreading the words with other employees and to other the customers. For a manager to act in such an uncivilized and unprofessional way defeats the whole purpose of even having one. For them to preach us about etiquette first of all, they themselves need to learn the proper etiquette. I honestly think that this problem goes beyond the whole tipping issue, it's a problem of discrimination that needs to be discussed and dealt with. Never again will I ever return to this place... I Hope nobody will have to face the pain and humiliation that I had to face there

By the way.. giving it one star is really overrated. What good is the food if you can't enjoy what you're eating? For that I give it 0 star

The people at this restaurant are DISHONEST! I was there for breakfast and then as I walked out to my car afterwards, I realized I left my designer sunglasses (cost $400) on the table and when I walked back to the restaurant, all the waiters and waitresses chimed in to say they NEVER saw it! Oh COME ON! The time difference was like 5 min! Oh yes...they had legs and got up and walked away on it's own!

Le Creperie has great atmosphere and tasty food. Not only are their crepes are great, but their sandwiches, salads and pasta are good as well (although the pasta dishes are essentially the same as their crepe counterpart). The Rive Gauche sandwich and Au Bon Curry crepe are personal favorites, although the Al Mare crepe is great and the Riviera crepe is popular as well. They have some nice brunch and holiday specials as well. The wait is tolerable considering it is located on 2nd St (every joint down there has a crowd on the sidewalk). With all the great food, it is unfortunate that the service is so shabby. Having dined here for several years off and on, I always hope that the service would improve over time. While some of the service staff is friendly, the majority is not attentive and sometimes downright discourteous. I don't know if they are trying to cultivate a stereotypical rude French atmosphere, but there are days when this seems to be the case. This attitude results in a long wait for drink service, and food arrival. On the days when the staff is friendly though, Le Creperie is a wonderful experience.

If you want to experience a French cafe in Orange County, La Creperie is the place to go... their crepes are supreme... for their breakfast selection, I've tried the La Galette and Spinach Feast crepes which were supreme... and for dessert, I ordered their Latin Lover crepe, which just melted in my mouth! My friend ordered their panini caprese, which was quite tasty. The ambiance is very French town square-esque with red brick walls and bicycles hanging on the walls. There's also live entertainment during dinner hours, which is a treat~ But I have to say, the wait can get very long if you go during prime hours without reservations.

Sweet crepes are the best I've ever had. Try a Maria Antoinette ala mode or a Hot Feeling if you're a genuine sweet tooth. Garlic french fries are good too, everything else on the menu (including the savory crepes) are just OK. I'd definitely keep this a snack/dessert joint. Great decorations... can get very busy/noisy during peak hours.

This is such a cool place. Open late, and serving very good food. So many crepes and dishes to choose from. I always try something new here, and always like everything. I prefer the savory crepes over the the dessert ones, and my next visit I will try the breakfast ones.
Some of the better dishes include a curry chicken dish that is just so tasty!
The ambiance is superb, it feels like a french cafe, and the live music is a nice touch, and does not interfere with the dining experience.

if you go for a late dinner, you'll have to wait a long time. the food is pretty good. i like the paninis, the seafood crepe, the healthy breakfast crepe, and the dessert crepe with rum and bananas. the hostess is usually rude and it usually takes a few minutes to get any bread or water. the bread is ok, but the best part is that they give you real butter. they don't have a full bar, but have wine and some beer. the price is reasonable. i ususally split a dinner crepe and a dessert crepe with a friend. the garlic fries are serious. don't eat them if you're on a date.

This is one of my favorite places at Belmont Shores. I'm glad they moved to a larger location, but still it's packed! The crepes are delicious, both sweet and savory (but I'm partial to the sweet ones). Have it al la mode! It is a little pricey for a quick afternoon "snack", but great for a nice treat. Fun place to linger with friends.

PROS: delicious crepes and drinks.
CONS: tough to find parking, may be a wait.

La Creperie is located in Long Beach off of 2nd Street (just after St. Joseph I believe). They offer a wide variety of food (from pastas, to chicken, to sandwiches) and according to a friend they also have a great list of wines. The ambiance is great at night, though it can get a little bit loud due to the live music. Parking can be a bit tricky as almost every street is a one-way street. If you're going for dinner, you may want to make sure that you give them a call ahead of time in order to make reservations, especially if you're planning on bringing a party of 8 or larger. The seating is designed for maybe 6 at most per table but mostly for 2-4. Its a small place working with what they've got and I think they do an excellent job. Now, i've read the last 10 reviews and I have to disagree wholeheartedly. Perhaps the restaurant has gone under new management within the last 6 months, but the service is excellent. The servers are fast and very personable. Also, if the others who have reviewed the restaurant expected to be seated within 5 minutes during a night, they are giving a very biased review. The restaurant is small and if you know anything about Belmont Shores/2nd Street, all restaurants on this street get very busy. Seriously, make reservations if you're concerned about waiting or if you're going for dinner. Amazingly I went on a Saturday night with 6 other friends and we were seated within 2-3 minutes. The food is exquisite and if you love sandwiches you have to try the Pollo Verde Panini. If you're a chicken lover, go for the Poulet Montrachet with mashed potatoes and a slice of goat cheese. The flavors are absolutely amazing! If you're into pasta, give the Chicken Carbonara Pasta (i think that's what it is) a try. This restaurant is a great place to bring a date or a small party for birthdays. However, I'd avoid wednesday-friday nights as the performer isn't all that great. I'd give this restaurant a 10 but its a little too dark for me. Bon Apetite!

Yummy crepes with lots of veggie selections. Cute ambience, great service. We ordered the Greek breakfast one (with feta cheese, spinach, and egg) and the salmon/caper one, and each had half. Very tasty! Then we split the Romeo & Juliet dessert crepe a la mode...delicieux! The beverage menu is great as well. The only caveat is that it is always crowded...but worth the wait, and worth eating at the counter in back.

Update: 7/2009
La Creperie is now under new management. While the food remains delicious, the service has deteriorated. The host (son of the new owner) never brought us our menus; we waited twenty minutes for a waitress; another thirty minutes for our incomplete order; had no dressing for our salads; and when we complained to the manager, she offered desserts on the house...however, she charged us for one dessert and charged $4 for each soda water that was refilled.

I went last Monday night 8/28/06, we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. Then we realized it was because mondays are 50% off all there wine list. I spoked with the owner he was very nice, Steve the Gm was also very nice. The food took about 20 minutes to come but we ordered 2 bottles of wine so we were very happy any way. The food was great . I guess Monday's are so busy that if you care to eat and to be served in twenty minutes dont go there. We will be back with more friends. By the way the wine list is a lot of fun

I went here once for dessert with a friend and it was great. However, I went for dinner recently with some friends and waited an hour to be seated on a Monday night. When we finally got our table, it was really loud inside so we couldn't hear each other talking. We got a variety of crepes and the chicken marsala to share, but the chicken in all the dishes was dry and a bit overcooked. The server was nice, but everything took a long time overall. Also, the owner goes around to all the tables with women and flirts with them while ignoring all the men. With so many choices in Belmont Shores, I can easily take my business elsewhere.

Pros: Great dessert

Cons: Loud, slow, dinner

.

The servers all but ignore you...And the food takes a REALLY long time to arrive, over 25 minutes.

The sauces on the crepes were excellent but, unfortunately, the actual filling was just OK- the chicken was overcooked and dry.

The dessert Crepes are very good. If I go back, it'll be just for dessert and coffee.

I love french food, so I was really excited to visit this place. My boyfriend and I ordered some appetizers, a salad and a sandwich...the appetizers came in with decent timing, but after that, the waitress barely came back to check on us. It was a Tuesday night so the place was almost empty. She was adding up bills or talking in the back kitchen. We waited and waited for our salad and sandwich to arrive (remember empty place and barely any cooking to do on these orders..). We tried to get her attention and ask about the status of our order a couple of times but it never seemed ready. I was getting really aggravated and we decided to pay what we ate and leave....when we asked to cancel the order, she got mad at us and replied that it has been only 20 min that we have been waiting on our sandwich and salad! Then she went to the back, complaining to someone sitting there while processing our payement...
Don't know about the food since we never got to eat but it's the first time I left a restaurant so angry!!

The food was pretty good but the service is very poor. there is a line to get insidem and once your in they make you feel very rushed to eat and leave, they seem to be very very under staffed and managed to get a simple order wrong. I do think i will ever come back

This is a very unique restaurant. I loved everything about it! I ordered the spanish crep, while my boyfriend ordered a sweet and savory one. The food is delicious, using the finest ingredients. The plates definitely appeal to the eye, and tummy! If you are looking for a very casual but extraordinary meal, go to this place

First of all, their published address is wrong (they have moved up the street). The food was good but the service poor. When the line outside the restaurant started to get long, the staff made us feel like we had to rush and managed to get one of our orders wrong. I do not think I'll ever be returning to this place.

Just a lot of fun and a lot of food.
even brought my parents there when they came to visit - they loved it too.
There's live music in the evenings.

Amazing Crepes! I Love to eat here when I need food that looks pretty and tastes great. They recently moved to a new location within a few blocks of the old--they are next to Bono's I believe. Prices have gone up a bit recently but their sweet and savory crepes are fabulous-- not to mention their cafe drinks.

These are the most delicios crepes I have ever had. my husband and I went to Paris and got engaged. When we got home we thought it would be neat to try out the La Creperie to relive some of Paris. We were pleasantly surprised. The sauces on the crepes are unbelievable...we will never be able to eat a crepe anywherelse because this place sets the bar high. We also loved the dessert crepes...our favorite "Romeo and Juliet"- nuttella, strawberries and bananas. this is our favorite restaraunt in Long Beach by far. It is a definite must visit when we have friends come to visit.

PROS: You can watch then make the crepes
CONS: limited space...very popular...might be hard to get a seat

The crepes here are simply delicious and huge! They have perfect desert crepes like the "Romeo et Juliette" that is filled with fresh strawberries, bannanas and nutella. Their savory crepes are just as mouth-watering. To round out thier menu, they also have soup, salad, other entrees, a Sunday Champagne brunch, and more. Also, if you like your food to be "pretty" their presentation is flawless. If you've never tried a crepe before, make sure your first time is here.

PROS: Huge portions of savory food.
CONS: It's in Belmont Shores so be ready to spend time trying to find parking.

This place has some of the best crepes I've ever had! I really recommend it. Sometimes there's a little bit of a wait to get a seat, but it's definitely worth it!
