My new favorite Indian Restaurant
by Mark S.
I came here for dinner with a group of friends. There was about eight of us. They asked us to wait and our table was ready in a few minutes. Even though they were kinda busy our service was good. I loved the Chicken Korma and the cheese nan. We all enjoyed our dinner and they make the best mango martini. I am definitely going back.

This food is awesome. The lunch buffet is amazing for the price. Around $7.00 for and all you can eat and the buffet selection is very large. When ordering off the menu you will not be dissapointed with anything. I especially like the Tiki Masala and garlic Nan. Resteraunt is clean and the service is terrific. I highly recommend

Messed Up Spice Concept
by Critico
I went there a couple of weeks ago and was extremely disappointed. The service was bad. Then, when I placed the order, asked for "Spicy". Guess what we got?
Spicy Samosa = Samosa with red chilli powder sprinkled on it!!
Spicy Biriyani= Soggy Biriyani with the same chilli powder sprinkled..eek!
The curries were colored with this same chilli powder in abundance. You can taste the raw chilli powder.
I was praying I don't get sick from the food. Extremely Overpriced and Best Avoided!
Pros: None
Cons: Price, Raw Chilli Powder!

Okay food, service is absent
by ArtheaL
We went late afternoon/early evening during the holidays and had an extremely difficult time getting served. They clearly wanted us to choose the buffet and we had to ask the host, a waiter and finally the bus boy to bring us a menu. Food was just okay. They forgot to bring the drinks we ordered, never did bring water. No one waited on us after bringing the food and we had to ask another 3 times to get a bill. I frankly think they didn't want to be bothered with customers that day, preferring that we just help ourselves to the buffet and be done with it. I would not recommend. No idea how they stay in business on Colorado Blvd. near the Pasadena Playhouse with that kind of service.
Pros: Location
Cons: Oblivious to customer

Great food, nice place
by Luv2eat9999
I came around 1:30 p.m. for the lunch buffet. As soon as I got inside I was greeted and was allowed to choose whatever table I wanted, I thought that was nice of them. The waiter filled my water glass and asked if I would like fresh plain or garlic nan. It was ready and fresh a few minutes after I sat down with my food. It was probably the best nan I have had. Nice and soft, and great flavor compared to the other Indian restaurants I have been to in Pasadena.
Definitely, will go back, especially since I told my brother-in-law about it and he is throwing a party there next month. I am excited to go back.
Pros: Great location, awesome music, Great food
Cons: little pricey

Deceptive and rude manager
by beccatu
I normally don't write negative reviews but I was highly disappointed with this restaurant. While the food was average in taste, it was disappointingly stingy in quantity and value. I paid $12 for about a dozen small chunks of chicken tikka marsala, on a large bed of raw onion which was obviously trying to compensate for the amount of chicken. But what really compelled me to write this review was that the manager tried to trick me into purchasing a $9 plate of "brown rice with saffron" when all I wanted was a side of rice. After I ordered my entrees, the manager asked if we would like any rice of bread to go with our meal. We said no, but he suggested that they had brown rice flavored with saffron. My friend and I thought this would be a small side of rice, not a whole entree. When I brought this to the manager's attention he actually rolled his eyes at me and grudgingly gave us a side of rice. Then he argued with me, telling me he had told me it was brown rice "cooked with vegetables." Not true.
Any restaurant where a manager tries to trick you into buying food you don't want, then rolls his eyes at you and argues, is a restaurant I will never visit again.

What a dump
by IhateSitar
This place has horrible customer service and miserable food. The ambience in this dump reminds one of a third world hole in the wall. The smell inside reminds me of a potent musky food odor that has lingered far too long.
The food tastes like it has been sitting out for the last week. We have tried almost everything on the menu, and every Indian place in Pasadena is far superior. I'm sure they have plenty of customers because the manager couldn't care less about customer service. I?ve eaten there plenty of times and last night was the last time. I would tell people to avoid a dish on the menu but wouldn't know which one to pick.

Good variety, good price, good food
by BigReddy
I always come here alone for the lunch buffet during my work break, so I can't comment on the comfort of the tables, etc---it's also not usually too crowded when I go.
I actually really like this place. They always have my favorite dishes and a good selection, and everything tastes very good. I much prefer this place to Radhika's for their variety and food quality.
I love their kheer, carrot halwa, samosas, and palak paneer. Last time I went they had goat curry, which I'd never eaten. I enjoyed it. Service is always friendly enough. They don't smother you but they make sure you have what you need.
Pros: Yummy, yummy. Good price.
Cons: None so far.

Needs alot of improvement.
by intlfoods
Great location, but the food needs improvement. We went there first and last, that was 3 years ago. The dining area was extremely small and the tables are only a few inches apart from each other. These set ups are the epitome of a bad restaurant, they just want to shove as much table as possible and totally forgot about the privacy and dining pleasure for the customers.
Pros: location
Cons: , set up, service
