Stanley owes me a lot of money. I gave him cash up front so that I could get a huge discount. A few months later I started noticing that he was giving me the run around so I tried to get my money back. He had so many excuses each and every time I came to his store to pick up my refund. Either he's expecting a client to pay or having money wired from China. ALL LIES!!!! I have not seen a single penny. I had three weeks to look for replacements and paid more because all the more reasonalble prices were booked..Then the shop closes after my wedding day. I would like to file charges against this guy but I can't find him. Hope he's in jail or hell......

I rented chair covers and sashes from Stanley Kwong (owner: Yi Jian Chen) for my wedding. Even though the business is under the owner's name, Yi Jian Chen, Stanley Kwong conducted all the business transactions. Stanley Kwong assured me that the chair covers and sashes would be ready a week before my wedding date. From the week to 2 days before my wedding, I had to constantly call him for the rental order. He gave me the run-around saying that custom was holding up the rental delivery. Instead of telling me the truth that the sashes would not be ready, I had to get it out of him by constantly calling him. I had to settle for an alternative color sash. He had a couple of his people deliver it on Thursday night, 2 days before my wedding. When we put the chair covers on the next day, I've found out that half the chair covers did not fit and 10% of them were not clean. They had dried rice and food stain on them. I had to call that Friday morning to complain and that I needed new ones. I had to drive up from San Jose to San Francisco to pick up new ones. I told him that I will not pay full price for all the problem he gave me and he agreed that he'll give me a discount.

After the wedding, we agreed that I would only be charged 20% of the original cost. We meet a few days for me to collect the check for the deposit and 80% of the refunded cost. I returned his chair covers and sashes. I found out later that he wrote me a bad check. I called him the first time and he said there was a mistake and he'll arrange a meeting to give me a good check. Turns out he never called and never returned my next 8-10 calls.

That's when I decided to complain to the San Francisco D.A. office that handle bad checks. It turns out that this Stanley Kwong have written bad checks to other clients and the D.A. have recovered bad checks from him before. Thanks to the D.A. office, they were able to get my money back.

I urge people to stay away from this guy. He makes promises he cannot keep. He have this excuse when you ask him to do something, "I can't right now, I'm at [somewhere - e.g. airport] doing an errand". Not only did he not give me my discount, but he kept my deposit by writing me the bad check. This guy is BAD news. He lives somewhere in Fremont. Stay away from this SWINE!!!!

Owner is very dishonest. Keeps telling me that the check is in the mail. This has been going on since Dec 2005. The owner that I dealt with is Brandon Chen. Hope everyone will sue their ass and collect. They owe me $300. These guys are losers. I know they use to have an email address... tohaveandtohold@aol.com and thavethold@aol.com. I hope everyone emails them and blows up the mailbox

He charged me for a whole bunch of things and ripped me off. Now he's missing in action and I want to take him to court. Can't serve him because he closed his shop down. DO NOT USE HIM UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR WEDDING RUINED!!!!

I just hope I can get my money back and manage to take him to court. He shouldn't be able to do this to people.

Don't order anything from To have and To hold in (415) 391-2621 1414 Powell St San Francisco, CA 94133. This guy Stanley is a scam artist, He cons you into his Super Great unbeliveable deals and makes you pay cash up
front which is stupid. And when it comes time to give the product he's gone or promise to pay you back which he doesn't.I'm finding people to file a claim with the san francisco D.A office. I already have found 5 couples that were ripped off thousands of dollars. Even if you paid for a flowers and didn't get it still file there's a chance you might get your money back or throw him in jail.

This was the worst wedding experience of my life. The owner (Stanley?) was unresponsive and couldn't deliver. He created a gigantic mess for our wedding.

Next time, we'll be sure to check the BBB ahead of time. In this case, we had to find out the hard way.

My daughter's wedding is the event that we hired this company for and even though they only did part of the planning, we were both very pleased with the service. The staff was knowledgeable and experienced, friendly and stress-relieving. I would definitely return or recommend them to a friend who is plannning a wedding.
