Hometown Buffet is a casual and kid friendly restaurant. The food is nothing to write home about - mostly bland and uninspired - although there is a LOT of it. We go once in awhile because my 10 year old son and his friends love the place. The ribs were the best thing I tried, but the menu rotates and they are not always available. The steak and chicken are disappointing and I'm not sure the "pork chops" were ever part of a pig. On the weekends it can get quite crowded, which honestly, always surprises me just a bit.

i usually go to hometown buffet one every 3-5 months. this location on meridian ave is usually crowded and service is not great. the food is delicious though. prices are also cheap. there are discount for kids and seniors or on special days. i love rib night because unlimited ribs! saturday is really the best day to go. i highly recommend this restaurant or the one in milpitas (mccarthy)
