Barnacles Bar & Grill

I've just spent a great week in Hermosa, taking a break for the festive season & getting away from the crappy English weather. For me Barnacles is by far the best bar in Hermosa. The bars on Pier Avenue are OK! but, you dont get the same choice on beers & you certainly dont get the same level of Friendliness & service that you get in Barnacles. The bar itself is of the neighborhood\Dive genre, but very cosy and everyone's given a warm welcome. All the bar staff are great, but in particular Lauren, she's as crazy as she is Beautiful and if my plans hadn't whisked me off to Vegas, I'd of stayed in Hermosa, just to find out if she found the back off her cell phone, which she lost while drunk! And for the pleasure of her serving me pint after pint of Stella.

I'll be back in the summer for more Stella & steak & Cheese subs.

We used to come in very Saturday to catch these crazy girls bartend and they have not been but on together for a while!!!! They crazy attiudes and hot looks make Barnacles the best bar in town. Halloween was off the chain with the two of them behind the bar but what is going on there now????????????????????

If you are looking to get away from the crazy pier scene and just grab a beer and chat with friends, Barnacles is the place to go in Hermosa. They have a bunch of TV's and a couple video games. The place wouldn't win any beauty contests but it gets the job done. I was once there on a wednesday night when the bartender put the sound on for a Seinfeld episode. You won't get that at Sharkies!

Their burgers and homemade chips are a great complement to weekend sports watching.

Local beer bar away from The Pier. Great people. Great local atmosphere.
