I went yesterday to take a tour of the facility and to discuss membership and personal training pricing. The guy who gave me the tour acted like he could be doing something better with his time. The lady who discussed membership prices just handed me a pamphlet with hand written prices and failed to explain her non-legible handwriting and abbreviations to me- not once did anyone ever shake my hand and introduce themselves to me while on the tour or talking to the sales lady. They never asked for my name, which I think is quite rude. Having a career revolving around Service Excellence, I was VERY unimpressed. Even though this gym is 5 minutes from my work- I would rather take my business elsewhere.

Hahahaha... does everyone else see the same reviews that I do? So its pretty obvious that this gym (all locations) has some serious customer service issues as well as other problems. But what I DONT understand is when looking at this site u see all kinds of horrible reviews & then someone in there corp. office writes a review for themselves as an advertisment...? WTF?? Why would u waste your time when its clear that no one has anything good to say about you guys. Ladys in the office.... give up! this site is not for your FREE advertisments. Let me help make it clear to everyone.. the way they treat there members is unbelievable. The customer service is some of the WORST i have EVER seen. Im seriously gonna rip off one the girls heads at the front desk if they are rude to one more person in front of me. Even WORSE then that is there MANAGEMENT & OFFICE on fowler and ness. These are the people responsible for these sh*t hole and they have the worst attitudes of all. Since when does working at a gym make you bad ass? Come to reality! Ive tried calling w/ a problem on my account & nobody can ever answer my questions. Im transfered back & forth between managers & the office (fowler & nees) and i still get nothing. If this isn't the worst service ever i dont know what is. i have cancelled my membership & am urging others to do the same!!!!!

Its about time Mr. Brown stops hiring his family and friends and starts hiring some people with a brain for once. From the front desk girls to management that place is a disaster. Its impossible to get checked into this place due to the snoby bitches up front who would rather talk about what guys they went out with last night then do the job there paid to do. And who is that syco curly red haired chick that looks like a man? From what ive heard she is suppost to be the maitnance manager? Get someone in there George that actually knows what there doing and now smoking pot out the back exit by the pool with her employees. Im serious this place is a disaster waiting to happen. The machines are never working and its getting dirtier by day. How long do we have to deal with idiots at this gym? and that goes for all locations not just palm and nees. George please do us all a favor.... fire your staff and start over!! They suck and you have horrible customer service!!

I actually just came across a pretty solid review of GB3. I was surprised it took soo long for someone to do it but hey I guess it's done now. And you're right..customer service definitely needs to improve.

This gym is a dangerous place to leave your car. I recently went for a workout at night and came back to find my window broken out, and my purse, wallet, along with all debit/credit cards and cash stolen. When I went back inside the gym to tell the girls at the front desk about the situation they acted like it was no big deal and said "it's been happening all the time, we have no cameras" and had no concern for me or my stolen belongings. If this has been an on going issue, why would management not post a couple signs alerting the customers that the parking lot has been having problems with break-ins? I used to go to Fort Washington Fitness, they have a security company patrolling the area and I never had a problem there. GB3 is the lead gym in Fresno, but they don't care enough about their customers to install cameras or hire a security company. The customer service at this gym is awful. The girls working up front are too busy carrying on personal conversations with one another rather then greeting me when I walk in and I have to stand in front of them staring in order to get them to check me in. I often see them with their purses and cell phones out, and they say nothing at all when I leave. Maybe if GB3 wants to address this theft issue they should allocate the funds from the lazy front desk girls into hiring security.

I usually have to wait til one of the 'employees' finish with their texting, conversations with each other, or whatever it is they are looking at on the computer before I can inconvenience them by checking in. Also, whoever is maintaining the equipment there should be more on the ball as I've seen the treadmills, stairmaster, or elliptical broken for days on many occasions. One positive thing - the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful. Mr. Brown should consider switching these little hard working Hispanic ladies to the front desk and put those snotty broads on the equipment floor to clean. Maybe that would make them more humble.

I love my GB3! But.....it really bugs me when I go in at night. There are two and sometimes 3 girls behind the counter, and even a couple of trainers there waiting to help members. The problem for me is they are so busy laughing and joking and having conversations between each other that I feel like I am a bother for them. I avoid certian girls because they have there nose to high in the air! At my job I am not permitted to read a magazine or a book or text my friends while I am at my work station. At my job conversations with my co workers is for the most part not as important as taking care of our paying customers. Please Mr Brown ask your GB3 girls to act as if they are working not visiting put down your book, put away that important magazine, give that I-phone a rest, and say hi when I arrive to enjoy your club. I recently jioned GB3! I have lost 23lbs, my Doctor took me off some meds for sugar. I feel great! In this past 5 months I have made friends with members and staff. The Mgr. and his wife work togther during the daytime, they always greet me and my little girl by first name now, my daughter loves going to daycare to work out, we feel so special. The idea of husband and wife team is great Mr. Brown. I have brought 2 other friends to be members and will continue to refer others to join me at my new home away from home GB3.

Me and my family purchased a membership. We are on a cash basis. We are hispanic and we were treated very badly. We felt belittled and very embarassed by the manager and the front desk. Seems there was a problem with the computer and the way they had recieved our payment. My kids were put on the spot and were told to wait out in front until I could come and show proof that I paid the monthly membership fee. Which I had just paid a week prior to this happening. This is not the first time this has happened to us...and probably not the last. My kids enjoy working out, but are almost to embarassed to return. I would never recommend. I feel that maby it was the color of our skin.

This is the gym on kings canyon and fowler.

I moved gyms from Bally's and I really like GB3. The equipment is nice, mainly because it's pretty new. The one on Palm & Nees has a great pool and sauna area, the only thing is the sauna is co-ed which is a little weird. They offer a lot of group exercises and they fill up fast! The staff isn't overly friendly though. Overall I think it's a pretty nice gym.

I moved gyms from Bally's and I really like GB3. The equipment is nice, mainly because it's pretty new. The receptionists and the trainers need to improve their client skills.
I had an appointment for physical training 11:00 a.m. and the receptionist was informed. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked the receptionist where's the trainer and she told me that maybe he forgot. I cancelled my appointment and as I walked out the door the trainer came asking me if I still want to go ahead with my schedule. I said no. Nobody apologized and the trainer named JASON even laughed at me when I walked out the door.
As a client GB3 should be more concerned with their appointments and service, and not waste employee time by chatting with each other.

The daycare at this facility is fine but the check in and out does not seem to be well monitored and is a bit stary for me as the parent because now a days you need to be so careful with your chilldren. They just recently moved the day care into the main gym and it use to be out side in a different building and a a parent it is far away and inconvient to drop off and pick up and if there is a problem is it far. My 2 children go to the gym frequently and my daughter was reciently bitten and they did not even page my husban to inform him. She was very scarred and was talking about it for days and the staff did not seem concerened.

Gb3 has great people working there. If you go often like I do they get to know you. And trainers treat you like a human. The trainer Jason probably came late because if it was your first session then he would only spend 30 min telling you his plan for you. Plus he always wants you to warm up before hand. He came late to my session but that didn't affect my workout at all.
