    If you are unlucky enough to get connected to a "human" via the phone, you are in for a real negative experience! They are absolutely the rudest & nastiest people I have ever dealt with. I would rather to somewhere else, pay more but get helpful info, not a bunch of crude lip service. NEVER AGAIN!

    Customers BEWARE, DO NOT SHOP AT BEST BUY!!! The customer service is abhorent and they present their "extended warranty" as something it is NOT. If you buy an item on sale, get the extended warranty and are unfortunate enough to need to use said warranty you are out of luck. A television (extended warranty purchased) went out. Their "geek squad" came to examine the television, stated that it was a circuit board problem that could not be repaired. Back to Best Buy with the TV only to find out that the only options as far as they were concerned were: 1) We will refund your money...duh, I don't want a refund, I want my TV. 2) Pay the difference between the sale price and the current retail price...UH, NO. I want the same product or at least one with comparable features and same size, that is what the WARRANTY is for. 3) We will give you a TV (42" in place of your 55") off brand that sells for the sale price as what you paid for the 55". UNACCEPTABLE!!! After calling corporate headquarters, we were told that it is official corporate policy. In other words, they have schooled their employees (because they will spout almost word for word) the benefits of the extended warranty, but heaven help you if you need to make use of what you purchased to ensure you don't have problems with your purchase. GO TO FRY'S ELECTRONICS, they are helpful and we have never had an issue with a warranty (extended or otherwise).

    it seems like alot of people are not satisfied with this best buy but mainly with there customer service... i went here on black friday and i didnt think it was too bad.... when i was waiting outside before the doors opened the best buy workers started handing out vouchers for certain items. i thought they did a good job getting to everyone and being organized. even when i got inside everything was pretty easy to find. the only thing i didnt like was the cashier. she was very nice dont get me wrong... it was just a very busy morning and she charged me for some installation fee that i didnt want.

    We have been waiting 3 weeks to get a washer that had a cracked drum replaced! Customer's that purchase the Performance Service Plan beware - Best Buy's policy states that once they replace a defective product the "plan" is fulfilled and what ever time you had left on your PSP is now void! Finally after 3 weeks, 6 representatives & 1 supervisor, replacement was approved this morning and now have been trying to reach a customer service rep at the local Torrance BB on PCH since 10:00 a.m. to schedule the exchange and nobody answers the calls!!!! The phone just rings and keeps coming back to the main menu. What kind of customer service is this??? Sorry Best Buy, but it is going to be a long time before I ever purchase another product from your company!

    I have been waiting 3 weeks so far to have my washing machine (Maytag) repaired under warranty (the extended warranty i paid $100 for)what good is a extended warranty if Best Buy can take as long as they want to repair my appliance? i have asked a supervisor to replace the unit but so far they have declined!it is going to cost them more to repair this machine than a new one cost! not to mention this little thing called "customer service"! I'm sure the CEO of Best Buy would not wait 3 weeks to have his washing machine repaired!

    This store is big. Be prepared to walk around if you don't know where to find what you're looking for. Their customer service is so-so. When I had to bring my computer in for servicing it took a long time and turned into quite a hassle. Aside from this, you can find anything and everything that you need in this store. Great selection and great prices.

    I would only recommend Best Buy because of their large product selection. However, I feel that their customer service lacks integrity, as I was once told I was unable to employ a full warranty I had purchased with a digital camera.

    I have purchased several computers from Best Buy and I like
    computer repair department and can always get answers
    to my questions and help with my problems. However, the
    customer service in the sales department is terrible. Several
    weeks ago I wanted to buy a $1200 computer and there were
    at least 7 salesmen walking around and nobody offered to
    help me, even when I stood in front of their circular computer
    help desk. As soon as they saw me coming they walked away. Finally I got the SBC Yahoo rep who happened to be
    in the store and he got somebody to wait on me.

    PROS: They carry a good selection of computers and accessories.
    CONS: Customer service in sales is the worst.

And BEWARE, if you try to make a purchase with a credit card, they will offer you two "FREE" 8-month trial magazine subscriptions. What they fail to mention is that they will use that credit card that you're using for your purchase to bill you if you don't call to unsubscribe after the 8-months has passed. Very, very sketchy! And if you try to call Best Buy, you'll be put on hold for a very long time or nobody will answer. Stay away! The only thing that I do like about Best Buy is their 4-year warranty plan. Anyway, I'm going to be staying away from Best Buy from now on.
