good place to find organic or unique food items.

by John P. | insider Insider | Rank: 27,095

I find the prices great and a good place to find organic or unique food items. Parking is always a bit tricky, especially on a Saturday afternoons. One of their best items? Why, they're the only source for Snap Pea Crisps -- a light and denture-safe snack!

Nice people

by Joanne P. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,323

Good place to shop, healthy food, friendly people. The parking is HORRIBLE and the lines can be long, but overall, I really like this trader joes (my favorite is still the one at westlake though!)

PROS:
CONS: lines, parking

Different but tasty foods

by Eric H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,806

If you want to taste something different, you must stop on by. Most of the foods sold at Trader Joes are not available in your average supermarket. You'll find healthier alternatives that are a little bit on the expensive side. Most items are fresh and most packaged items contain little to no preservatives. They do not sell genetically altered food. My favorite is the Turkey Jerky. It's healthier and tastier than the average beef jerky. I like the selection of organic fruits and vegetarian burgers. It's a great way to eat healthy.

Friendly, and courtesy staff.

by Kwok C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,186

Trader Joes is located from nearby Toys r Us, offers a very nice shopping experience. They offer competitive prices on a wide range of produce, and wines. There market is quite clean, and have a wide range of staff that is always helpful, and courtesy. It's one of my fav places to find wine at reasonable prices. They also have a small but adequate parking lot. Lines also move fairly fast, and timely. They also have sample offerings that let you sample some of there new products, and many organic produces to choose from. If you can't make it to Whole Foods, this is another alternative to the larger chain markets.

Too Many People

by Sibyl G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,391

This store is really good and cheap, but is totally over the top with crowds. There is no parking and you run the risk of being killed by a rogue yuppie shopping cart at every turn. I guess two dollar bottles of wine are worth the risk.

BEST PLACE TO SHOP

by Lisa H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,189

Trader Joes is the best place to find certain foods that you can't really find in other stores. The prcies are faitly reasonable and the stores always have a parking lot, so, parking is not an issue.

Has it's goods and bad

by Justin B. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,128

Trader joes can be a fun place to go. They have a great selection of grocery items and wines that you can't find everywhere else. The prices range from really good to a bit high. I can never seem to find everything I need there. The worst part of this store is the crowds. Parking is a nightmare. Getting through the store without losing your patience is pretty hard. It's always packed.

The Best of the Best

by Milton D. | insider Insider | Rank: 20,805

If you are not already a huge fan of Trader Joes then run don't walk. I personally find this location the overall best experience consistently. I am a very particular food shopper and would say that they are the best in the following categories, price/selection of wines, price/selection of good bread, price/selection for higher end but not too obscure cheeses, price/selection for fruit juices and price for interesting condements that come in jars. You can sometimes get a great meat item, but the fish selection has been a disappointment. My favorite items only at Trader Joes is the little trays of frozen chopped garlic, parsley or basil - an absolute life saver.

PROS: price-quality relationship Best in class
CONS: parking week & many items out of stock or never return

Great value greatselection

by kathleen l. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,160

Trader Joes always delivers consistent quality, selection and value. This is the place to stock up on everything from meat to dried goods and paper to spices. Products are added reguraly and if you are vegetarian or seeking organic goods this is an affordable alternative to highre priced stores. Beware of the lines after 4:00 however and avoid just popping in for a single item... better to shop for the week and justify the wait

PROS: cost selection service
CONS: parking lines

Best place for groceries

by Vincent H. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,239

What can I say, I love this place. Great food at reasonable prices, lots of organic stuff, free samples, and Two Buck Chuck - their famous $1.99 bottles of Charles Shaw wine.

The lines move surprisingly fast considering this place is almost always crowded. They keep their shelves well-stocked and have never run out of anything I've tried to find.

Cashiers seem to be genuinely happy to be working. Very friendly and talkative.

Parking lot is small, so occassionally you'll have to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get parking.
