I have been with ers security almost 10 years, experienced of professional technical support, reasonable price and responsible customer service. No matter what, they always solve my problem over the phone patiently and provide professional service to fix the system. I will continue with them and recommand more friends to join them.

Fraud! Especially their auto renew policy. Their agreement states that you have to contact them 30 days prior to your contract expires, otherwise your contract will be renewed for another 2 years. So I called them 2 months before my contact expires, and the rep told me that I called too early, and was instructed to mail written cancellation few days prior to 30 days expiration.
Days passed by, and I forgot to mail them, until I saw the bill again, so I faxed them 14 days prior to my contract expires, guess what they told me, it's tooooooo late, they already renewed the contract for another 2 years. They told me I suppose to contact them 30 days prior to contract expires not 14 days. So be warned, you only have a small time window to cancel the policy before your contract expires, otherwise you will stock with them for another 2 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree about tricky & bad policy and horrible services!!! Had I heard before, I wouldn't do businss with ERS. Bewarn about irresponsible equipment installers, Cancellation requirements, and surprise charges even after ending all contracts. The price is higher than others.

DO NOT give your business to ERS. They will lock you in with an auto-renew contract and will give you a hard time canceling it. I have never received any contract renewal notices. I've been trying to cancel the service for nearly 4 months now, by phone and by written notices, offering to pay up all termination fees. They never formally acknowledged my intent to cancel and has yet to send me the final bill. Every time I call to confirm cancellation (last was the 6th time), I get a different story. I've moved and phone line has been disconnected for months. They are still sending quarterly bills to my old address. Also, contrary to what their reps/installers say, the equipment is NOT free after a year or 2 years contract. They will charge you for the equipment if they can not remove it after cancellation (according to one of their reps). That is, if you can ever get through with the cancellation in the first place. They are a bunch of flakes, a perfect example of an unethical business.

I am experiencing similar problems with ERS and their "auto renewal" contract. Not to mention, when we called them up to see if we were under a contract, the customer service rep said "NO" and that we could terminate if we wanted. When speaking to someone different to confirm this, they now want to charge us an early termination fee. There is no early termination fee mentioned in our contract. This is not the first time we have received different information from their employees. We are told we will be charged a certain amount for service and we will pay it. Then within a month we are sent a new bill asking for additional money. It is a constant headaches with this company. I would NEVER, NEVER recommend this company to anyone!! I wouldn't even give it one star.

I have been with ERS security for 4 years and the service is ok (well, nothing happened at all) I did sign the contract for 26months to receive a free security system with installation. I plan to move recently and I just found out that ERS "auto renewal" my contract for another 26months and I will be charged with "early termination fee" if I don't give them "3 months advance written notice".. When all these time I received no "automatic renewal notice".. The sales person that setup my alarm didnot mention this and when I called ERS, they just told me its in the contract and "sorry" that the sales didnot tell me that. I personally think this company is cheating people and I will never use its service again.

Alarm system owners beware! If you own your alarm system and have this company take over the monitoring they will lock out your equipment so that it can only be monitored them. Then they will have you pay an $85.00 service call charge to unlock your panel when you decide to cancel there service. If you own your alarm equipment and want to change your service provider, make sure that your system programming is accessible! This is your property and these guys will make it worthless to anyone but themselves.

At Ers Security Alarm Systems Incorporated, they had a terrible service and their price charged were out too high. There were no price list for their services. They gave me any price they feel like charging me. Not satisfy at their service what so ever!

I was with two other companies over a seven year period and I have found ERS to be very proffessional. I got a free installation and a much lower monthly fee. I have required service one time in two years and was not charged for the call and I have had no more false alarms since switching over to ERS. I highly recommend this company.

I've completed my two year agreement as indicated and I want to cancel because I've been have lots of technical challenges causing my alarm to go on frequently, even in the middle of the night. I submitted my letter as instructed by the operator. I called the following day to follow up on the letter and asked if there was a penalty for cancellation since my agreement just lapse and I discovered that I am now in a new renewal agreement (which I was not notified). They claim they have a cancellation department, but the cancellation department can not tell me if I would have a penalty, it is up to the manager to decide and also their policy, they cannot release the managers name. It's a nightmare getting a straight answer from them. Beware - Don't use their services!
