Full Gospel Mission Ministries is an outreach of Hayward Full Gospel and is a non-profit organization devoted to assisting those with drug, alcohol, and other lifestyle problems with a Residential Recovery program that includes occupational training and assistance in employment opportunities. In addition food, clothing, and furniture is given freely to the needy of our Bay Area communities. All donations are tax deductible and our TID# is 94-3233305. Occasional mistakes may be made by our staff of drivers and helpers, but they are never intentional, and can always be corrected with an immediate telephone call to Pastor Tom @ 510-537-7338. Thank you for your assistance in the past, and we hope you will continue to assist our efforts.

I too received a card for donations and we left several bags of nice items for Mission Ministries. They picked our donation up and didn't leave a receipt. So I tried calling them and yes, they are rude. They were disinterested in sending me a receipt. They told me it was my problem, not theirs. Wish I'd read these reviews first. I will next time.

There are plenty of other needy people out there - find a good one and donate to them.

I would give them a zero star but I have to give at least one.

I recently received a card asking for local donations. I left a message on their voicemail asking if they would take a working oven in good condition. I received a call back today. It went like this (pretty much verbatim) -

Me: Hello?

Angry voice: Hello?

Me: Hello? (again)

Angry voice (sarcastically): Hello?

Me: Who is this?

Angry voice: You called us. I'm just calling you back.

Me: Yes but who is this?

Angry voice: Full Gospel Mission Ministries. I don't know what you want.

Me: But you got my message?

Angry Voice: Yeah. I just got the number. Didn't listen to it.

Me: I was wondering if you would take an oven?

Angry Voice: That's up to the driver.

Me: Do they usually take ovens?

Angry voice: Don't know. Its up to them.

Me: I'm just asking cause before I haul this heavy oven to the curb to donate it I want to know the chance that you'd want it.

Angry Voice: What, can I see through the phone?

Me: Thank you for the attitude, have a nice day.

And I hung up.

I don't know what the rest of the organization is like but the fact that someone working with them will act like this to a complete stranger responding to their invitation to donate makes me seriously question where they are coming from. For all I know they are for profit and making a buck selling back people's donations. I can't find any info for them on the web, thus this post. One thing is for sure, the Lord's spirit was not with the person on the other end of the phone who I spoke to. Donor beware.

This org is unethical, rude, & HORRIBLE. I made a sizable charitable donation for needy families (or so I thought) and these people have the nerve to pick & choose what they want and come to find out they sell the items per the note left on an item they refused to take (a two yr old microwave). When I called to ask some questions the man answering the phone was absolutely rude, made some offensive comments. I told him I will NEVER donate to their org again. He said that was fine. I was so pissed I hung up on him. Then they wonder why people don't want to donate or go out of our way to do anything. It's because of people like this in the world. DO NOT DONATE TO MISSION MINISTRIES OF HAYWARD.

When I went to this church years ago; it was an awesome fellowship.Pastor Quillen and his wife and Brother John and his wife Iva were great ministers. The thing that I always remember the church for was the great bus ministry that picked my son and I up for church and the mission ministries that fed and housed so many people hungry, homeless and needing a second chance in life. If i lived closer now, I would attend the church. I am in Tracy now. I will always remember good things about this church and ministry. They are being the hands and heart of Jesus to a sometimes very un thankful and spiritually needy community. God bless you all!
