Torrance Family Practice

I have been going there for 2+ years and NEVER once seen a doctor only a nurse practitioner, even when my back went out and I was walking crooked for 2 days. The nurse suggested that I go to the emergency room!!! and when I went, I waited an hour at the ER and all the doctor did was give me an anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxer. I was SO angry!!! And then today, I called for a prescription and the doctor won't write it because the nurse that I normally see is not in until Friday, but I only have enough to get me through 1 more day and it will effect my job if I don't get it, but they don't seem to care. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new doctor immediately.

I visited this practice for a check up in 06... The doctor that helped me was average. The office staff is completely unhelpful and rude. Then last week I was called by their billing dept. saying I had an outstanding bill. Turns out they had billed the wrong insurance company in 06 and when the claim was obviously turned down they decided NOT to contact me. I finally get a call 3 years later(so they obviously had my number on file) and am told that my mail(bill)was returned and they have done everything by the book and will be sending me to collections for a $50 fee. So of course, I am now with a different employer and have different insurance and have no way of getting this claim filed. I told them my options were to either pay it or take them to small claims court and they SUGGESTED I take them to court... What kind of place is this? I would not recommend this place to ANYONE... the care is average at best and it is NOT worth the trouble...

I admit, the wait was a little bit longer than I'm used to, but I have to say, it was worth every bit of it. I've visited both Dr. Glazer and Dr. Haas and both doctors were incredibly attentive and patient with my incessant questions and complaints. They were also very patient with my requests and never refused to see me for a complaint. Their staff were also very courteous and polite.

Great staff, Great Doctors, Clean Office, excellent everything, one of the best doctors offices I have ever been to. I highly recommend this office. The receptionists were pleasant and the medical assistants were helpful and professional. I have been looking for a new doctor for quite sometime and I am confident I will receive good care.

I was going here for about 16 yrs when Dr. Haas' father worked there. He was great, so is Dr. glasser. But, in the last 2 years, on the 2 times I was really sick, I was forced to see the Nurse Practioner, even when I had a appt to see the Dr. He never wanted to see me, HELLO.. I had viral bronchitis, where the Nurse there had given me the wrong perscription. I had to go back, and Haas did not even want to see me?? I told him I refused to see the nurse, he was my dr. and I wanted to see him. He finally saw me but was clearly upset. Maybe this was a thriving practice before, but, I wouldn't waste my time here any longer!!! I have a new Dr. now.

The only reason I gave this office an OVERALL rating of satisfactory. I have been a patient at this practice since I was in my late teen(s) approx 20 years ago. Dr Glazer is the best doctor on the planet. He is the only person I want caring for me if I am ever really sick. Over the years I have referred several family members and friends to this office. The consensus is the same. The staff is horrible and the wait to see a doctor is very excessive. The main problem with the staff is they act as gate keepers rather then care givers. They will not allow you to speak to a doctor unless you make an appointment and come into the office. The doctors will not return your call which leads me to believe they are not given messages. Even if you call to ask a general health question they standard answer is you need to see the doctor. If it was not for Dr Glazer I would definitely find another office.

I've been going to this office for years and true the wait is long, but I've always received good health care. I've even had a doctor call me at home because she thought she may have been abrupt at my appointment and then went on to further discuss my health tests.
The reception desk has been bad in the past but has been much better recently.

This medical practice is unbelievable in the worst way. I've gone there three times and each time I waited at least an hour in the reception room and then another half hour sitting in the patient room. Nobody comes by except initially for blood pressure and temperature. The nurse practitioner, Matthew, sat and played with his laptop more than talking to me. He was rude and impatient and just uncaring. I would NEVER refer this practice to anyone.

I don't know if the long waits are due to bad doctors or bad receptionist. The other patients that I talked to while waiting said that they ALWAYS wait over 1 hour each visit to be seen, sometimes 2 hours. That's not acceptable in my book. The doctors are also not very friendly and her writing was soo awful that the pharmacy had to call to ask what the heck she wrote because they had no clue what she wrote. I looked at it too and it was pretty bad.
