Chicks is a brand name sports store. They seem to focus on ski apparel in the winter and surf wear in the summer. The shoe selection is very good. They have a good baseball department. and have some basic hockey gear. If you need specialized equipment, I would not look there.

Chick's Sporting Goods has a great selection of sporting goods and accessories. If it's related to a sport, they probably have it. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but the prices are a bit steep. Also, I don't like the new location in Savi Ranch. The old one in Yorba Linda was much more accessible.

I think Chick's sporting goods has the wides selection for any type of sport. I prefer going here over Sport Chalet or Big 5 because they have better brand names, and triple the amount of clothes. They always have so many employees working so you can easily get help. Also if you just want to get fashionable clothing, this is the place. It's very diverse and I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Same thing applies to the sports equipment; while you find equipment for highly popular sports, less common ones such as raquetball and hockey are poorly represented here.
Employees range from sufficient to downright rude. I frequently hear personal, borederline offensive conversations occuring between teenage employees. Employees are not well-informed in shoes or equipment, so you won't find them helpful unless you merely nee
