Reviews for Las Brisas Mexican Restaurant

Ratings_icons OUR VISIT!

Tiffany W.

Our visit to Las Brias in Laguna Bech was great.
Service was rated at a 4.5 meaning 5 will be the max.
Food.
We started off with a fruit dish.
The fruit dish was rated at a 3.
Next you may choose soup of salad.
Both were great 4.5
next we had our main entree. Rated both at 4.7
The restuarant opens at 9 a.m
We arrived at 9:45 there were 2 tables available with ocean view. (in other words windows)
there is no need for reservations.
good thing champagne constantly comes. There is NO LIMIT.
We were there for the Sunday Brunch.

It is considered expensive cause breakfast was $80 for two.
That's considered expensive if you are us to the McDonalds & Dennys type breakfast.
If you use to the expensive high end quality..then this restaurant is "OK"

If you have never been to a Sunday brunch here then you need to make a reservation and do it! The view is fantastic and the brunch menu is very good and expansive. The price is a bit high and you pay for the view and location for sure. But it is worth it!

Las Brisas has a great view of the pacific ocean. The food is good, but I think it is over priced for the quality. I guess you are paying for the location, and if you don't mind that, then go to Las Brisas. The service is friendly. The beef tamales are my favorite.

My wife loves this place. We've been quite often to their overprized Sunday Brunch. They have a nice view of the ocean if you get a window seat which we have never been able to do it. They do not take reservations for brunch so it always suck to be there waiting for a table. The brunch menu is like a "comida corrida", you get a choice of soup or salad, a choice of main dish (of 2), a choice of side (of 2), and that is it. The portions are small. The champange keeps flowing. The service is good. The atmosfere is just OK if you do not get a window.

PROS: Nice view if you get a window
CONS: pricey, no reservations, you will never get a window, small portions

Las Brisas has a couple of great things going for it: The bar and the location. If your looking to go somewhere to have some drinks, appetizers, and sit outside overlooking the water, this is the place for you. But if your looking for a nice, sit down dinner in the dining room, I think it is just okay. The entree items are a little bland and over priced, and the dining room atmosphere is a bit boring unless you get a window seat.
