This is one of the best Japanese restaurants we have eaten at. they have a full sushi bar as well as tepanyaki. Located on the beautiful JW Marriott Resort.
5This is a great place to go with the entire family. They have teppan tables where the chef cooks the food in front of you. They throw shrimp in your mouth and build onion volcanoes. Food is always fresh and the service is great, I must visit if your are in town.
5My wife and I went to Mikado at the Palm Desert JW Marriott resort for our 2 year anniversary. What a class act. The chef was entertaining and they made us feel like honored guests. Great food too!
5My friends and I went here last weekend for her birthday. we are not from the area so we went here on a friend's recommendation. It was a great choice. Costas is located in the Marriott hotel. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Costas has pretty good music and a nice bar. Drinks are average. The people there are definitely different than my friends and I are used to. I guess this is to be expected in palm desert, but the crowd is a little older: lots of bachelorette parties and creepy old dudes. The most interesting guy that came up to hit on my friends and I was probably about my dad's age, had a comb over and was wearing a shirt that said "i bring nothing to the table." He wasn't lying. He introduced himself by saying, "Hi my name is skippy-- like the peanut butter." This is a pretty accurate portrayal of the crowd at Costas. But if you are out for a good time with friends, go here, dance and laugh at some of the crazy people that surround you.
