If you don't believe me and if you got money to burn, then go to Luka's. Nothing is cheap here. The music sucks, but the pool table in the back isn't bad. I had dinner here once, but it wasn't good enough to me to come back and pay their prices.

Lukas is great for a lunch treat (its not cheap) or a delicious dinner. They have a great drink selection and on weekends, it is a hip and happening place with great music.

When I worked around the corner, this was my favorite place to lunch (for a treat) and to have happy hour. The service is fast and friendly at lunch. For those that work in the area, you know this place is unusual. It's the only really nice sit down place south of 17th.

I can personally recommend many of their items, including their salads, french fries (with a variety of unusual and tasty condiments), cheese plate, golden beet sandwich (for something unusual), BLT, and mac and cheese to name a few.

They have a bustling happy hour and it can be hard to find a seat and get serviced appropriately. They have a great deal on oysters. The drinks are good and they are generous with the alcohol.
