Book Soup

i really liked this store because it had a lot of funky, cute books that i haven't noticed at the local barnes or borders. the place is a bit small, but it kind of adds to the cozy atmosphere.

I love this store because it's not the typical Barnes and Noble or Borders. The books are one of a kind, and the first time I was there I spent an hour looking at their books! The employees didn't greet me or anything so I don't really know what I can say about that. It's nestled right next to a Starbucks... What a great combination!

This store may never be as hip as its sister store on the sunset strip. Employees aren't always knowledgeable readers or booksellers, and their author events are crammed into a small corner of the store with little seating. No public restroom either. A fair-sized selection of books, but the atmosphere here in the South Coast plaza leaves something to be desired.
