Dr. Schlundt is an amazing pediatrician. He has seen my son through the NICU, colic, extremely early teething, and then a devastating diagnosis of a rare blood disorder. I don't know what we would do without him. I'll be honest, he is not the right doctor for everyone. If you are the kind of parent that is skeptical of western medicine or proven scientific facts, then he is not the doctor for you. If you want a doctor to pat you on the head and tell you you're making the right decision when you are not, then he is not the doctor for you. However, if you want a doctor who sells it straight and discusses medicine at a scientific level, then he is just right for you! If you want to be involved with your child's care and you want to know the ??why? behind what is happening, he is the doctor for you. Dr. Schlundt will always answer you with proven medical research and study, and then give his opinion. It is up to you to educate yourself so that you can actively participate in your child's care, something easily obtained from a quick glance at WebMD. I have not once ever found him to be combative or obstinate.

Dr. Schlundt has on all occasions immediately returned my phone calls personally. He consults frequently with my son's specialists so as to keep abreast of the situation. He is also incredibly kind and gentle with my infant son. His intelligence and knowledge combined with his 20 plus years of experience and being a father himself is the perfect make-up for a pediatrician.

I just read the reviews and I had the same negative and horrible experience with Dr. Glenn Schlundt. He did not like the one small complaint that I made that he told me to leave. I am not exaggerating one bit when I say I had one small complaint. I did not yell, scream, or act in any way that would deserve a doctor rejecting to see my child. I was shocked with his behavior and the staff was very apologetic. I have a feeling the doctors who left this practice has something to do with Dr. Schlundt's odd and rude behavior. I have also found out that him rejecting to see his patients, my child was his patient, is actually illegal.

Rose City Pediatrics is great!! I've got three kids with multiple health issues and switched to this office a little over a year ago. We have been incredibly happy. Dr. Powell is a rock star! Just ask my 5-year old -- she loves loves loves him and is jealous when her siblings are sick and get to see him and she doesn't. We have had many health issues in the past year and have never had problems getting an appointment. The office staff is friendly and competent. There is also a phone nurse who will call back to answer questions -- this is very helpful when there is an issue that doesn't require seeing a doctor. Dr. Powell is excellent -- he has a great manner with the kids and explains things fully to the adults. He is helpful and knowledgeable, but also aware when it is time to call in the specialists. Our beloved nanny has taken the kids there on occasion and also loves this office -- Dr. Powell and the staff have shown her respect and made sure that she understands the children's health situation. I cannot recommend this office highly enough.

The only good thing about this practice was Dr. Holly Wang, she was absolutely wonderful. However, as of September 30, 2010, Dr. Wang is no longer with this practice, as she has started her own practice - finally! Now we are free from the rude staff and other doctors, and the nurses who don't even attempt to engage my three boys (ages 4 and under) before doing their "tests" and poking them with needles. We are happily following Dr. Wang to her new practice - you should too! She is just around the corner - see her website: www.kindercarepediatrics.com. She is truly the best.

You better quickly learn how to keep your head down and mouth shut if you are planning to have your kids be taken care of at Rose City Pediatrics. Last year, I had a five (5) and a two (2) year old children at Rose City and one day my wife made a minor complaint to the nurse/administrator (not even a doctor) and few days later, we got a letter from their office telling us that they will no longer provide medical services to our children.

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!! I almost had the unfortunate experience of having my 20 month old be a patient of Dr. Gokey and I am SO relieved that he is not.

I made a well visit appt with her to see my then 18 month old son 3 months ago until a couple weeks prior to the appt her office canceled on me and had to reschedule. I kept getting available times that didn't fit in w/ my son's schedule. Nearly 2 months later, he still wasn't able to get an appointment and when we finally were able to get one, it was early in the morning. Unfortunately he got really sick and after a long night of crying and not sleeping, he was finally able to get some rest and couldn't stomach waking him up to get him to the appt. So I had to cancel and now Dr. Gokey decided not to take him as a patient. WHO DOES THAT???? Who does she think she is?

BTW, don't think of being late. They run more of a credit service rather than a children's office because they only "allow a 5 minute grace period" to being late.

And can I tell you how incompetent the front office is? I've seen bad and off-putting receptionists, but these girls are HORRIBLE. They are rude and unaccommodating. You're put on hold for over 5 minutes each time and dealt with more like an inconvenience than a patient.

Don't waste your time trying to get an appt w/ this office where appts don't even exist in the first place!!

I absolutely agree with the negative feedbacks on Dr. Schlundt and his office. I had a horrible experience! Dr. Schlundt is a smart doctor, but that is all that you can say about him that is good but there are many bad. I agree with the person that said that you should never questions Dr. Schlundt in any way (not even ask why the answer is such to get more info.), unless you are ready to be beraded and insulted from head to toe. Also, be very carefully asking too many questions because I was told he feels sorry for my husband because he has to handle all my questions when I asked him if I am feeding my baby enough milk. You will never be able to get him on the phone, and his support staff is not trust worthy as to knowing what they are talking about, often calling later to change what they told you was definetly the answer. If you go there, be ready to be told anything and yelled at at any moment! There is no reason why anyone should go there unless you will never ask any questions. Be very careful chosing this place.

My 4 y/o has been a patient of Dr. Gokey for over 3 years. We were referred to her by our neonatal cardiologist, but didn't have a PPO for the first year of her life.

My daughter has asthma, food allergies, and is a bug-magnet. We go into the office frequently, and have seen Dr. Gokey at Huntington when my daughter was admitted for asthma problems.

We balance traditional Western medicine with herbs, pragmatism and natural remedies. Dr. Gokey has been supportive of our choices to not give our daughter daily medication, although she highly recommended it. She respectfully discussed our point of view with us, and we agreed to disagree. That was 2 years ago. We still love her, & respect her opinions regarding our daughter's care. And we still discuss alternatives with Dr. Gokey when we see fit.

We have NEVER had a problem being seen... same day appointments are not infrequent for us because my daughter can crash quickly. The phone nurses are great; they call back, listen closely, and escalate the call if necessary. When Dr. Gokey is examining my daughter, she actually talks to her and spends more time with her than most doctors I've ever seen. She also addresses all of our concerns as parents -- sometimes we have a list of questions to ask. My daughter loves her so much that she has fabricated illness so she can see her during our illness dryspells. When my daughter was admitted to Huntington Hospital, they called Dr. Gokey to the hospital and her prompt presence greatly eased our tension & fears.

The office staff is not the best, but we don't sweat it. Billing people are hard to reach. The medical assistants are fine for the most part. We've never been late so I can't comment on that policy.

It's worth it to deal with the administrative headache to have a great MD who will warmly, intelligently help you navigate childhood physical & developmental challenges.

PROS: Dr. Gokey is a fabulous MD.
CONS: Administative headaches.

As a parent I cannot say enough about this wonderful Dr. We have been seeing her for six years and trust her judgement completely. She has properly diagnosed illnesses that were missed diagnosed at Urgent Care. I have never felt rushed and she typically answers all my questions before I even ask them. My kids adore her. When my oldest was in a terrible car accident and was in the ICU Dr. Gokey came over on her lunch break just to lend support. You just don't find such competence and caring very often. I also appreciate the office's strict policy on being on time for appointments.

My son has been seeing Dr. Wang from Rose City Pediatrics since he was born. We like the doctor fine - she's very nice although she can sometimes be vague and uninformative. However, the front office, staff, and the advice nurse is terrible, which is why after a year, we've decided to move to another practice.

THE FRONT OFFICE: When you call their office, you're greeted by a recording. After pressing a button, you're always greeted by, "Hello, thanks for calling Rose City Pediatrics, CAN YOU HOLD?" After waiting on average 5 minutes on the phone without getting a word out, the receptionist usually returns to connect you to the advice nurse's voicemail. IF YOU LIKE SPEAKING TO A LIVE PERSON ABOUT YOUR QUESTIONS, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. Sometimes they don't even answer their phone. I tried to call right after their lunch once and they put me on hold for 15 minutes after the initial "CAN YOU HOLD?" I hung up and called again and they just stopped answering the phone all together. The staff all look like they just graduated high school and looks unprofessional with their tattoos and ghetto lingo.

THE ADVICE NURSE: When my son was 2 mo old and broke out with red bumps all over his face that soon started oozing (it turned out to be eczema), we called the nurse on a weekend and was told that there's nothing she could do. When we demanded to speak to an actual doctor, she told us to go to the emergency room and hung up on us. We called back and left a message for a doctor to call back and Dr. Powell called to say apply lotion. We ended up going in on Monday to see our regular Dr, Wang, and ended up treating with hydrocortisone and antibiotic cream.

On another occasion, when my son was 10 mo old and spiked a 103 fever and was throwing up all day, I left a message for the nurse (because that's pretty much your only option because the doctor does not do call backs because they're busy seeing patients) who called back and said come in. When I asked her what I should do to make him comfortable until our very late appointment, she suggested Gatorade, and THEN asked how old my son was AFTER I questioned the Gatorade for a baby. Then she put me on hold for about 5 more minutes and when she came back, she asked if he had a fever! HELLO! That was the first thing I said and the whole reason I called to begin with!

This was the last straw that prompted us to seek another pediatrician. In my mommy group, I know 2 other moms that left Rose City Pediatrics citing the same reasons. Avoid the frustration, go somewhere else.

Dr. Wang is amazing. I recommend her to all of my mommy-friends. The office has been remodeled and is much more professional looking. The office staff could stand some improvement and the nurse on call is, at times, moody. However, I have always received excellent care for my children.

I have two children, ages 4 1/2 and 21 months. Due to relocation and change of insurance, I have been through four pediatrians with my children. Of those four, Dr. Wang is by far the best. I can not express how good she is. My son enjoys his appointments with her and is angry when his sister goes to visit Dr. Wang without him. She is up on her Star Wars information and spends the time discussing these things with my son. He is incredibly comfortable with her and respects her. When we have disputes about hand washing or vegetables, his solution is to ask her, stating that if Dr. Wang agrees with Mommy, then he will too.

She also spends a lot of time with her patients and never makes me feel rushed. She also never makes me feel bad about all the questions I have and addresses all of my concerns, no matter how inane they may be. She has been my childrens' doctor since the birth of my daughter 21 months ago and I have recommended her to friends, all of whom have been very happy with her.

Also, I don't know about the other doctors at the practice; but Dr. Wang has been very good about keeping on schedule. My last four appointments, spanning the last six months, she has not kept me waiting for more than five minutes and on one occasion, saw me early. Unless she is out of the office or on rounds at the hospital, I have always been able to see her on the same day. In fact, when I made an appointment with one of her collegues, she squeezed my daughter into her full schedule because she knows that my children are comfortable with her.

In my experiences, I think the office staff could improve and some of the doctors have kept me waiting a long time; however, Dr. Wang is great. If there is a wait with her, she has a very good reason. Also, Bryant is great. My son thinks he's the bee's knees.

My kids have been Dr.Schlundt's patients for the last 3 years. He is very attentive and spends enough time to examine each child and answers all my questions. If my concern is a certain antibiotic that he prescribes he's answer would be not a type of "don't worry if it doesn't help we'll give him another", but he explains to me, as if I am his student, the physiological way it absorbs by the body and its benefits over other choices.

My son also have a rectal prolapse as in one of reviews here. He just went through the sweat test to rule out a possibility of cystic fibrosis. This procedure is not invasive and painless. I am anxious to hear results and completely support Dr.Schlundt that we have to be thorough to rule out CF before treating my son further. How awful would be to miss such a diagnosis?

I like Rose City pediatrics and would recommend it to anyone.

I'm writing this several years after the fact, but I never got to properly vent my feelings about this pediatrician. We simply left the practice and never looked back.
My first encounter with him was after the c section birth of my daughter. He was the pediatrician on call at Huntington, and he told me to supplement my daughter's milk with formula because my body was conflicted about milk production because of the c section. I didn't seem to have a problem with milk production, but as a first time mom, I didn't know. The next day, Dr. Powell visited us and told me that Schlundt's statement was hogwash. He said my body was capable of doing both things, healing and making milk.

Next encounter is even worse. A couple years down the road, after Dr. Powell left the practice, my daughter had a rectal prolapse. It was shocking to us, but the prolapse went away after a couple minutes. We called the practice and saw Schlundt. After an examination, he informs us that this is often a "presenting symptom" of cystic fibrosis and that we needed a blood test and sweat test to see if she had this disorder. We were shocked and very upset. She had no other symptoms, mostly a healthy girl.

The assistant at Children's Hospital couldn't believe we were having a sweat test because our child was so healthy. He said that children with cystic fibrosis were usually sick a lot and not so robust. He said he'd be totally surprised if she came out positive. And she was fine, but we had to go through all this stuff to find that out. It was quite traumatic for our whole family. And not a word from Schlundt after all that. No follow up, nothing. That's what I call irresponsible. And it just goes to show that scholarship and following the book isn't always the best way to diagnose.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I just called about ten minutes ago, I missed my 2-year-olds follow-up for an ear-infection because I was in a vehicle accident. I called and informed them, that i had missed it a week ago without a phone call to cancel and the girl i spoke with was nice and didn't say one thing about me missing the appt without calling, very understanding and re-scheduled my son at 3:30 today for an appt at 130pm tomorrow - not bad if you ask me. That wasn't a long wait or hard to get into, I didn't even ask for an appt that soon. I think they are great!

Dr. Schlundt was great, very sincere and very caring towards my son! I have absolutely no complaints, he was very personable and very friendly with my son. He spoke to my son as if he was a person, not just a patient, he gave him "five" and treated his illnesses with solution, he is doing well with him and I would definitely recommend him to a parent with a small child!! Colton liked him and he isn't accepting of doctors.

Dr. Schlundt specialized in premies. I was referred to Dr. Schlundt from the Huntingtion Hospital's NICU and we have been very happy. I never felt rushed from Dr. Schlundt. He always takes his time explaining everything in detail so we completely trust his decision. I've never had any problem getting same day appointments for the unexpected ear infection, etc. Yes, the wait can be long at times, but overall, it's not too bad. We've seen Dr. Powell and Dr. Wang as well when Dr. Schlundt was not available and the whole team is expremely qualified.

My daughter has been with Dr. Gokey at Rose City Pediatrics since she was 3 months old. (She's now 13 mo.)I think Dr. Gokey and staff are very professional and have TERRIFIC bedside manner. Dr. Gokey has always taken the time to answer my questions/concerns and never makes me feel silly for asking in the first place. The nurses are very friendly too and always try their best to have the 'shot' part of the visit go as quickly and painless as possible.I am so very glad I switched to Rose City Pediatrics. I can agree with others though, they are VERY strict with keeping appointments and it can be difficult to reschedule. My advice: don't cancel!

There are two major qualities that you expect in a doctor, the first being the ability to practice medicine and the second being the ability to deal compassionately with patients... both are equally important in a doctor. Unfortunately, Dr. Schlundt is horribly deficient in the second category. After seeing my 1 year old daughter who had a cough, his recommendation was to put her on steroids. When I told him I was concerned about putting a baby on steroids, he became extremely irritated and told me that "Parents are ignorant and fearful for no reason and can not be expected to understand the purpose and safety of medications". He then when on to point out that he, in contrast, has 10 years of coursework in pharmacology and biochemistry and that steroids are completely fine, but that if I want to be ignorant and leave my daughter to suffer, it is fine with him. I was so shocked by his behavior that I said nothing (even though actually I am a biomedical scientist with a PhD from a top university and have a far deeper understanding of the mechanisms by which steroids function than he does). It may be the case that steroids were an appropriate treatment for my daughter... all Dr. Schlundt needed to do was to say that this is the standard but that we could do as we pleased. It was entirely unnecessary to berate my concerns. So, if you are OK with doing exactly what your doctor says and never asking any questions at all, Rose City Pediatrics could be a good choice for you. However, if you would like to be able to discuss things with your doctor and be treated as an intelligent human being who is capable of understanding how and why a particular treatment has been prescribed, you would be advised to avoid this doctor's office.

the office staff they employee are beyond STOOPID!. the doctors schedule a physical and then spend less than 5 minutes examining your child. my dog gets more time. dr. gokey is the worst. they could care less about your children. if i were you i'd run away from this office or risk your child being misdiagnosed.

We have been patients of Dr. Powell since our first child was born in 1995, and since then, nearly every doctor in that office has saved our lives at least once. Dr. Mark attended to my 3-week old baby when she contracted spinal meningitis, Dr. Schlundt stitched my 2 year old's face after a dog bite, Dr. Gokey diagnosed a difficult blood infection and administered antibiotics immediately to save my 6-year old... And I could go on and on. They are busy, but there are enough competent and caring physicians in that office to handle all of their patients. I highly recommend them to eveyone I know.

Dr. Holly Wang is fantastic. She always takes time to answer all our questions, no matter how many or how "basic". She is excellent with our daughter. I would recommend her to anyone. The office is busy, but we have received excellent service from the nurses and Dr. Wang.

"Go the extra mile." Dr. Powell is that rare few that lives this motto. He seems to always know the answer to our pediatric needs.

Dr. Powell seems to know the problem with our children before we bring them in. It's comforting to know we have a doctor who is on top of things at all time.

After 6 years plus we have never be disappointed, not once!

I have been with Rose City Pediatrics for seven years with my two children. Dr. Schlundt has a been a wonderful doctor to my children. He takes his time to explain everything and answers all my questions. He is very knowledgeable and I trust him to make medical decisions for my children.Yes, it is a very busy office and sometimes the front desk staff becomes over whelmed. After reading some parent reviews I wanted to say that as a parent you need to decided if what the phone nurse or the receptionist is telling you is accurate for your situation. There have been times that I have demanded to see the doctor and they gave me an appointment. Actually, every time I have called in the morning I was able to get a same day appointment. I have had no serious issues with this office-We love Dr. Schlundt.

My OB recommended Dr. Gokey, and I'm so happy we chose her! She's not a doctor to rush you in and out; she really listens to your concerns and takes plenty of time to answer your questions. Yes, her schedule is full, but it's b/c she schedules enough time with each patient. At each well baby visit we schedule our next appointment, so we never have a problem with that. When my son came down with a virus they fit me in that day.

PROS: wonderful bedside manner!
CONS: they are a little slow to return messages that aren't considered "critical"

This is going to be long!I had a similar experience with the previous review. My daughter had Dr. Powell and we were absolutely satisfied with his approach with our daughter and his personality. The office policies were another matter. When my daughter came down with a cold I had to speak to the on call nurse 3 times before I could get my daughter an appointment. Each time we were given different directions. When we saw Dr. Powell on our next visit we informed him of our experience. On that visit we were also informed that we would have to go back for a nurses visit because they were all out of polio shots. Mind you, this visit was scheduled a month in advance. They wouldn't even accommodate us and we had to work around the nurses schedule. On another occasion my daughter came down with a bad cold. After being told to provide "comfort measures" for the second time I finally just demanded an appointment. I was given one with Dr. Wong for the following day. Just my luck I hit traffic. I called the office to let them know I was running a little late. They said if I was 5 minutes late they would have to reschedule me. I arrived 15 minutes late only to read on the sign in sheet that someone was ahead of me. The nurse had the nerve to tell me, "I told you 5 minutes" as I checked in. I asked the mom ahead of me what time her appointment was for and she said it was 30 ago but she too was running late. So here I'm thinking the doctor will see me since she is obviously running late and her last appointment arrived late as well. The nurse came back and took the mom ahead of me and tells me that since I was late the doctor said I would have to reschedule. That was the last straw! I cancelled all my previously scheduled appointments and told them I wanted a copy of her chart because I was not coming back. I guess they wanted to teach me a lesson about being late. This was the first time I was late. I guess they don't care too much about their patients. I took my daughter to urgent care down the street and they saw me right away when they saw how sick my daughter looked. I guess the nurses at Rose City didn't think she looked sick enough to push the issue with Dr. Wong.I belong to a mommy support group in Pasadena and they were telling me early on that it sounded like I needed another doctor's office. One of them is a physician herself and was appalled.

The office is very busy and slow. I needed to book my child's "well appts" with Dr. Gokey up to FOUR months in advance! On the 2 occasions I called after hours, due to illness, I was only able to receive ineffective advice from nurses and was never connected to a doctor. I found this to be very unprofessional and not good enough for my child. I have two friends who used this office and have experienced the same and have found new doctors as well. It took only a few months after my child's birth for me to begin looking for a better pediatrics group. To top it off, it took several months for them to transfer my child's records to the new doctor. I've never reviewed anything on-line before, but I was very disappointed after reading positive reviews from this site and experiencing the opposite.

PROS: None
CONS: VERY-overbooked, unprofessional and slow

We have three children under Mark Powell's care and we couldn't be happier. Yes, it is a busy practice, but there is no other doctor you would want if there is a problem. He is extremely knowledgable and well connected - he will refer you to the best specialists if there is an issue (we know this from personal experience). He also takes the time to worry about your children as if they were his own. We've also had occasion to see the other three doctors and have been happy with the entire practice. The front office is also great.

Our daughter was a breech baby who was essentially born with a dislocated hip--a condition that Dr. Crosby, who happened to be making the rounds at the hospital that weekend, caught on her first exam. Dr. Glenn Schlundt, our daughter's primary pediatrician, referred us to a good pediatric orthopedist. Thanks to their vigilance it appears our daughter's hip problems will be corrected without surgery. In general, my husband and I are very pleased with Dr. Schlundt. He's spends a lot of time explaining things to us and never rushes us. He has a very pleasent demeanor and is good with our daugther. (We chose Dr. Schlundt after two colleagues who work in different parts of my office both raved about their babies' pediatrician who, as it turned out, was Dr. Schlundt.) We've also found the practice's office staff/nurses to be very efficient and a pleasure to work with. No complaints here.

Dr Gokey is one of the most competent doctors that I have ever encountered. She made a really difficult diagnosis for my youngest daughter that another doctor missed. It probably saved her life. She has a great beside manner and she makes my kids feel really comfortable. On the occassion that we have had to see another doctor in the practice we have also been very pleased. They are a wonderful group and we look forward to many more years of their care.

In a word - exceptional! I found Dr. Powell to have all the qualities that I think are essential to being an excellent doctor. He is knowledgeable, personable, and very thorough. In addition, he has a warm personality and is great with my kids. One of my sons had a serious illness that had been misdiagnosed in an ER. Dr. Powell saw me the very morning I called panicked that my son seemed to be worsening. He was patient, caring, and most importantly, made an accurate diagnosis that put my precious boy on the road to recovery. I cant say enough about him. I not sure he is currently taking new patients which is just another testimony to how good he is!!

We switched to this practice after my son was 1 year old. His previous pediatrician was never available to see us, and we were always seen by an associate. Dr. Gokey is very busy, but she almost always finds time to get us in within the day of my call with any concern. Dr. Crosby has seen our son as well - and is an exceptional choice as well. Many of our friends see Dr. Powell and are VERY happy with him. We are very happy with this group as a whole.

PROS: Reputable doctors with endearing personalities.
CONS: Office can get very busy and return calls may take a few hours.

I have a 5 month old son, and he has been seeing Dr Crosby since birth. We were originally hoping to see Dr Powell, but he wasn't accepting patients and thus sent us Dr Crosby, who is new to the practice. We couldn't be happier with her. She's intelligent, friendly, easy-going and wonderful with the baby. I would highly recommend her. I have several girlfriends that use Powell and are very happy. The same goes for Dr Gockey.

My wife and I have a six year old son with Down Syndrome. He was always in the lower end of the growth chart. He also was having some sleep apnea problems. His pediatrician at the time didn't seem to know what to do to help him. Someone gave us Dr. Powell's contact information. We called and were told that he wasn't accepting new patients (that's how good he is). We asked if they could make an exception, and they did. Dr. Powell immediately suggested that we have our son's tonsils and atnoids removed. He referred us to a great ENT, and after the surgery he was breathing better. Within months he was in the healthy area of the growth charts. We appreciate Dr. Powell's aggresiveness in helping our son lead a healthier life. Dr Powell continues to be an excellent caring physician and we don't plan on going anywhere else for our son's primary doctor.

We have been using Dr. Maria Gokey for the past 8 years and she is always wonderful with our children. They love going to visit her. They always bring her dog treats! She is very sweet with them even on the days they need shots! Would use another Dr.

My son used to go to Dr Mark Powell before we switched to an HMO. Rose City Pediatrics does not accept HMO's. My niece sees Dr Gokey at the same practice and they are quite happy with her. What we liked about Dr Powell is that he is very thorough. We had a premature baby with a lot of problems and Dr Powell was extremely helpful with the GI problems and also referred us to specialists for surgury and therapy for other problems. We will always be forever thankful for the quality healthcare Dr Powell gave our son. Pluses for the practice - the front office is well run and they see you quickly. They also have a waiting room for sick children. The downside is the parking structure is a pain to park in and they don't validate for parking (most don't anymore it seems).

Great bed side manner! Dr. Powell has been our doctor to both of my boys since birth - they are now 7 & 10. They are not at all intimidated/aprehensive about seeing a doctor since Mark's absolutely great with kids (and parents too).

Mark is great with kids and also easy to work with as a parent. Also, if you have a special needs child he is an excellent pediatrician. We've been very happy with the whole practice.

Despite our query, Rose City never apologized to me or my then 7 year old son in 2009 when the doctor, who is the adult after all, stopped a slap as he grabbed his face. I was so angry that I could not respond properly. I did not want to

You better quickly learn how to keep your head down and mouth shut if you are planning to have your kids be taken care of at Rose City Pediatrics. Last year, I had a five (5) and a two (2) year old children at Rose City and one day my wife made a minor complaint to the nurse/administrator (not even to a doctor!) and few days later, we got a letter from their office telling us that they will no longer provide medical services to our children.
