Had dinner here w/recent L.A. visit, after a Google search. From the outside, we probably would've never gone in but glad we did. Topnotch service, excellent food, friendly staff. If you're in L.A., eat @ Gloria's!

"Hello, my friends, what can I get for you this evening," the server intones with a genuine smile. He's gentle, disarming and eager to ensure that every diner's evening at the Culver City Mexican/Salvadorian restaurant is a memorable

I have yet to have a bad meal at Gloria's...the pork adobada is spectacular, the sopes are tasty, and my wife swears by the soup. I like the family feel to the place...in terms of good comfort food, Gloria's is just terrific. The tables and booths are a little uncomfortable, but the kitchen is stellar. Keep it up, Gloria!

Cons: Slightly more pricey than you would expect but the service and food is worth it.

This place is within walking distance, and I'm there all the time. Either Gloria or one of her sons is serving, and they are super friendly! Dining there always has a warm, friendly family feeling. Prices are VERY reasonable...in the $8-15 range for pretty much every diner. The nachos are huge and so yummy! The pupusas and fried yuca are my favorites.

...for sending me to this wonderful quaint spot just around the corner from me. Yes, what the other reviewer wrote is all true - Gloria, the owner, takes your order at your table. The food is very good, and the whole place has a nice integrity to it.
One thing - it was crowded lunch hour midweek - and service was a little slow. I'm going back.

We waited one hour for our food for my husband and me. Then they forgot to bring the tortillas for the fajitas. Another 15 minutes went by until I got them. By that time, my food was cold and the grease was starting to solidify.

I have been going to Gloria's for the past 7 years. It started as a small shack behind the Ralph's on Olympic and Barrington, and several years ago, Gloria moved east to the Palms area and a full-on kitchen. Gloria and her 2 sons serve some of the best Pupusa's and Salvadoran food in all of LA. Best of all, you are always greeted by first name and with a smile.
