The place is clean and the seats are great. The acoustics are awesome you can really hear anything from everywhere. I enjoy coming here on weekends with the family and even invite along friends too.

I love this lil theatre. My first movie here was 10 years ago and forget just how nice and quaint it is to see a movie in this adorable theatre. I will definitely be back. This time we had a burger and a shake (my husband had wine) before our movie at Woody's Diner right next door. The food was awesome.A wonderful evening out with two blasts from the pasts.

If you love old architecture and you love the movies, you MUST go to the Lido Theaters. The front has the original neon from when the place was built in the 1930s. This was Newport Beach's second major modern movie theater. The first one is no longer open. The interior is vintage and you can image what it must have been like to see a movie here many years ago when people dressed up to see a film. The parking can be tough, but if you don't mind walking a bit, park across the street and walk down the sidewalk. This theater shows small movies, which is also nice. The food is great and the people who work here are extremely nice.

From wonderful wall art to the balcony seating offered, this is the first place I look to see any movie that appeals to me. The place is built on a solid foundation of atmosphere and it's worked.

After Edwards gave up, the Lido has been tranformed into an indie theatre, showcasing everything from foreign to surf films. The staff are part owners, and so they really do care, and your patronage is important to them.

This theater is a wonderful place to catch indy movies, and things that just aren't playing all over town. It is a little old, and outdated, but it is quite charming.
