A truly professional, caring physician

by Jonathan D.

I have been going to see Dr. Smith on a regular basis for about 6 months. I know Dr. Smith to be a very professional, knowledgable and caring physician. I have been especially impressed by the amount of time she takes with patients, which has not always been my experience in other doctors' offices. I would recommend Dr. Smith wholeheartedly and without reservation.

While I respect the right of another to post a negative review on this site, I strongly disagree with another opinion posted here and wonder whether this is an accurate portrayal of events. Others have also written reviews on other sites that strongly support my opinion.

Bad doctor. BAD doctor.

by Gavin W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,877

I went to Dr. Smith after a while without insurance. I have very mild asthma and was concerned about a stuffy nose, seriously that's all, and I left with my backpack FULL of medication samples. Her solution was to put me on about 8 different medicines for a STUFFY NOSE.

The worst was I was getting ready to quit my job and would thereby lose my insurance. I told Dr. Smith that I wanted to get a refill for my inhaler before I left my job. She launched into a 45 minute lecture about my bad life choice, castigated my parents, and ultimately refused to refill my inhaler prescription. She said I could make another appointment in a month to prove I had kept my job and she would give it to me then. I think that's pretty awful. Really, don't go to her.
