Les Schwab, in particular this Les Schwab restored my faith in good business practice. Ever since I have owned Les Schwab tires, I have been able to show up at any Les Schwab, in any condition, (flat, torn tires, etc) and be rolling in minutes. So many times I have shown up with problems and been fixed up within minutes with no outlay of money whatsoever.
That is so important for someone that commutes. If you have a warrantee with them, they don't treat your business as an imposition, like so many others. They take care of you, and are giving. They treat you like I would treat a family member. Today I had a wicked flat tire and was far from home. I walked in frazzled and worried; however, the staff was prompt, kind, helpful, and giving. I was on the road in no time, and they even washed off my car. They seriously made my day! Any time you can have a flat tire and still have a good day, you know you have found a good business.

After paying for an alignment, and getting a quote for upper ball joints needing to be replaced ($542.61) I told them I will do the ball joints myself for $168.00 instead. They only adjusted my toe, which my wife could have done, and told me they couldn't do anything else. Toe adjustment takes less than a few minutes. Anyways, I replaced my ball joints and brought my vehicle back to have it finished and they tried to charge me again. The guy I spoke to told me if my wife could have done it, then I should have had her do it. I showed him the spec sheet they printed out for me the first time and showed him that they only adjusted my toe, which was only 2 degree out of spec, and did.t touch anything else. He told me they would have to charge me again to do the alignment and was incredibly rude about it. This was the first vehicle I brought here. In between the first time and the ball joint replacement (about 2 weeks) I brought my other vehicle there to have the alignment done on it because I just put new tires on it. After driving it for two weeks, I had to bring it back and have an alignment done because my front end started getting loose, and my steering wheel was now clockwise from being straight. The tech, must have thought it was a hot rod. He drove it wrecklessly to the stall, then upon test drive, came screaming into the parking lot. My interior is full of new grease stains, after detailing the interior. 2 vehicles, and they did a horrible job on both of them. I am extremely upset, and feel very ripped off. What happen to customer service? Don't they want customers to talk positive about them? I wasted my time, and my money with les shwab in manteca. Never again

I took my truck into the Les Schwab in Manteca for an alignment since our regular mechanic does not do this service. After they had my truck for a few minutes the serviceman came out to tell me that I needed to approve him replacing the front bearing before I do the alignment. If I didn't replace this for a total of an estimated $392.35 (with the alignment) the customer service said I would have to pay even more for a factory part (starting at $800) plus the $392.35. I took my truck in for a second opinion since Les Schwab did not have any additional appointments for the remainder of the day. A few hours later, my regular mechanic had driven and provided manual testing and found the truck to be in perfect condition NOT requiring any service or bearing replacement!! I was shocked that Les Schwab would outright LIE about doing a service that was NOT needed in order to charge me an additional $336.10 plus the cost of the alignment and use scare tactics as well. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place and will surely tell anyone else I know not to utilize their services as well.

I own a 2004 BMW x5 and it has been serviced at Valley BMW for the past two years. What they did not catch two months ago while doing a brake job, was my tires were won done to the metal and the axel boots were torn and leaking. To me this is a big safety situation. Thank you Les Schwab for bringing this to my attention and for the fast service (30 min) to install and balance four tires. I just called BMW and the price for the replacement of the boots was about $600 higher. I will be bringing my vehicle back tomorrow for the repair. Thank you Les Schwab for a job well done.
