This place has good food. The service...well that leaves more than a lot to be desired. Honestly, I've dealt with some horrible service, and it won't keep me from coming back to a place. That was until my encounter with the people here. First, it took almost 15 minutes just to get our drink orders in. We had to flag down a waitress that wasn't even ours just to get water. When our actual waitress found out we did that, she scolded us. Two of us ordered calzones, and the other person in our party ordered calamari. The food came, and my calzone was missing toppings, and the calamari was hard and didn't taste anything like calamari. We talked to the waitress and she told us we didn't know anything about calamari, and that there was in fact toppings on my calzone and said I was blind. I picked apart my calzone in front of her to show her my lack of toppings, and she got all rude and said she'd be right back. After another 15 mintues, we flagged down another waitress, and she said she'd grab our waitress. We then saw our waitress talking to a lady while glancing and pointing at us. Our waitress came back, and we asked to speak to the manager. She told us the manager had stepped out and wouldn't be back anytime soon. She then went to go get us boxes for our food (we never asked for them--we weren't even done with our food!) and threw them at us. When I said I wouldn't pay for this food since I did not get what I ordered, suddenly the manager appeared. It was the same lady from earlier that was pointing at us. She was very hostile and threatened me several times. We told her we were upset about having to wait so long for drinks, and then having an order that was messed up that they were unwilling to remake for us. It then turned very ugly and aggressive. I got up and left, and she chased me into the parking lot and threatened me with some unsavory ideas, and proceeded to insult us by making derrogatory and discriminatory comments.

Pros: The food isn't bad. Just always messed up.

Cons: Everything else.

I liked this place. The food is very tasty and my family really like their pizzas. I was pleasantly surprised with their marinara sauce--I love it. I woud normally have meat sauce on my pastas, but the marina on it's own with any of the pastas is excellent, in my opinion. It is a nice little cozy place and they have some good deals on certain days of the week.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! It took 10 mins just for some one to come to our table and take our order. 5 mins to get our drinks. They go my order wrong and did not even offer to fix it and then charged me for the topping that I did not order. The service was horrible. When I talke to the "manager" he said he could do nothing for me and was very rude. I asked to speak to another manager and he said he would just say the same thing. Believe it or not this guy (who I think was the owner) was even worse yelling at me and telling me he does not want my business and not to come back. He even called the the cop because he said I was causeing a disturbance. It was so bad it was almost surreal. Please I beg you dont give this place your money. Go to Amici's instead they have great people and food.

If your looking for New York style Pizza go to this location. They also serve pasta, but it's not that great. They don't do subsititutions. There prices are pretty high, but you do get a lot of food. The only flip side is if you want to split the plate, they will charge you for a plate fee (only on pasta). If you bring a cake for a birthday, they will charge you a desert plate fee. They serve N.Y. icees. The best is the N.Y. dougnuts. You will have to order that once you sit down. It takes a while for them to make it.

my boyfriend and i went to eat at this restaurant looking forward to some good italian food. to make a long story short: we showed up 45 min before they closed and asked politely if they were serving still. the guy looked behind him at another guy and the guy shrugged his shoulders. he turned around and said "i guess". feeling uncomfortable but starving we sat down thinking it would get better. the waitress passed us off to another guy because she didn't want to serve us. through out the rest of the night they kept trying to pass us off to other people. our food was horrible and really expensive. at the end of dinner we were so upset with the service we will NEVER GO BACK!

This is my first time ever reviewing a restaurant, but my experience last night made my whole family so mad, I feel it warrants me speaking up. I know it's long, but please hang in there with me!! Here's the story:

Last night, my parents, my husband and I, my sister, brother, his kids (a large group, 7 of 9 of us adults) went to Vicini's. Some of us ordered beer, and rather than checking our IDs right there at the table like every other place does, the waitress gathered them up, gave them to someone else that worked there, and TOOK OUR IDs IN A BACK ROOM, OUT OF OUR SIGHT. Strange? I think so. When they came over to give them back, my dad stated that he'd never had anyone do that before, and asked why. The kid was very rude, did not even look at my dad and kept talking over him as if he wasn't there. He said, "You ever heard of the ABC?" Like we were all idiots. If you have to scan our IDs, you should put the machine somewhere visible, not in a back room. How do we know they didn't make photocopies?
Stupidy, we didn't leave, which I am very angry at now. When we were ready to leave, my dad went to talk to one of the owners, who said something to the effect of "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN DON'T COME BACK. I DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS." It's not like we were a rowdy, loud group disrupting everyone else. We were a family eating out together. I guess we will be taking our business to the places in Vacaville that respect their customers, and are happy to have them. The owner of Vicini's didn't try to explain, or make us feel better about our IDs being taken in the back. I think most people would be weirded out about that. He might as well have said, "F- off," because that is for sure what his attitude was.
P.S. I am going to a certain bureau about this. I just don't think it's right. That business owner needs to know that he can't treat people like this.
I also just want to add that our waitress was very nice, and we are not mad at her in the least.

some friends and i ordered 2 pepperoni calzones and 1 plate of calamari. the calzones had no pepperoni and the calamari looke dlike french fries and had a similar taste. the calamari was cold and not spicy the way i ordered it. the customer service was horrible. it took 45 minutes to get our water refilled. the waitress was extremely rude. she threw down our boxes and told us we could NOT speak to a manager. we ended up not eating and leaving the food on the table which ended up in being yelled at and spoken to with extreme vulgarity and profanity. i will never go back again.

It is much more than a Pizzeria!
There is Veal and Eggplant parmagiana and many other NY style Italian food.
It is hard to not leave enough room for their Cannoli's and if you end up too full get your Cannoli's to go!
Many varieties of pizza and you can get by the slice too! My favorites are the
Sicilian and Brooklyn Sicilian, followed by the traditional Cheese pizza.
Their Hero's (sandwiches) come in two sizes. Trust me, the large is truly large.
You cant possibly leave without being plenty full!
This is the only true NY Italian food in all of N. California!
Long live Vicini's! (you gotta love the NYC Sanitation trash cans)
From- Queens born, Bethpage L.I. raised, and now Fairfield CA. resident
