The receptionist knows nothing, and all she wanted to do was get my name and number.

The procedure is to get a salesman to come to your house and give you an estimate. OK - I can see that - but what a hassle. I guess they need to know what they are getting into.

When I asked the receptionist if this was a green company, she had no idea what I meant.

I'll pass - especially since some guy says it's $100 an hour.

They need better educated receptionists. I could tell by talking to her that it was taboo to talk shop with me - a cold caller.

The business may be good, but they clearly need an improved front line.

Jim Lord's folks have maintained our yard for 15 years. They are very reliable as a service even though it seems that supervisors switch quite a bit. They are careful to let us know about possible extra charges and do good work. They may not be the cheapest, but we don't need to worry and that is worth something too.

PROS: Reliable, knowledgeable
CONS: $98 per crew hour

Excellent landscape service, dependable, crews with lots of knowledge and expertise, hard working. Service however is not cheap. Lots of extras (grand rounds by supervisor, fertilizer guys, chemical spray guys - all extra items on bill).
