Irvine Boulevard Animal Hosp

I have meant to put a review up years ago. I want to say I am super happy with their service always make you feel welcome the compliment my beagles freckles :) and the doctors are kind and well I have a beagle and beagles are pretty wild and wont let you touch them, I never had a problem here. They never had to use any force with him and he is pretty happy. Unfornetly my beagle got sick while we were at my mom's another city we took him to another vet and they treated him very poorly I came out of there crying just one how much force they use to treat him, they held him by the neck with a leash and his eyes seemed like they could pop. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOGS TO ANOTHER VET!!!!

Dr. David Driscoll has proven to me time and time again that he truly cares about my pets, their health and wellbeing. He has THE BEST bedside manner, and Dr. Dave is professional, caring and gentle. He always LISTENS when I ask questions, gives me a thorough answer, then makes sure that I understand!

After a recent procedure on Teddy, my poodle, Dr. Dave placed two follow-up calls, just to make sure that Teddy and I were doing okay!

Dr. Dave has been our familys Vet since about 2004 ~ and yes, like many others, we followed Dr. Dave to Irvine! I am very thankful for Dr. Dave ~ I would follow him anywhere ~ HE IS JUST THAT FABULOUS!

PS: Diamonds in the Ruff: Oh My Goodness ~ Buddy, our Golden Retriever, was so soft and silky after being washed and groomed by Michelle, and Michelle was so patient and kind with Buddy!

We love dr. dave and all his knowledgeable and compassionate employees! They exceeded my expectations of service and value. I would also recommend their grooming facility called Diamonds in the ruff. You can usually be seen the same day when making an appointment with dr. dave (WHICH IS AWESOME) but call in advance for their groomer Michelle. Take your pets to this warm place. You'll feel the love. There isn't a better vet and animal hospital in Irvine. Thanks Dr. Dave.

Dr.Driscoll has been taking care of my cat for some time now, and since he has moved locations I have followed him to Irvine.. I must say he is going to be missed where he was, not only by his staff but by all his clients.. Although several of them have decided to follow him to Irvine. I have always gotten great service and good medical attention for my pets. Not only does he have a great bedside manor, but he is very compassionate, loving , and very caring to the animals. There needs always come first... He practices good medicine and has good ethics. He always gives me options and never pressures me into needless and unnecessary treatments for my pets.The staff is wonderful, they even gave me a call a few days later to see how my pet was doing. I really liked that because it gave me a chance to ask any questions that I might have forgotten to ask while there.... Dr.Driscoll, will continue to be my veterinarian even if I have to travel to see him now... It is so worth the drive..I highly recommend Dr.Dave Driscoll for any veterinary needs for your pets.

Dr. Dave Driscoll has been my family pet physician ever since he was located at VCA in Long beach, thank god he has moved out near me in Irvine!!

He is a wonderful vet who displays patients, compassion, and understanding. His professionalism and friendly staff are just a few reasons why I continue to use his clinic.They made me feel like my dog and I wern't just a number.:)

I would recomend Dr. Driscoll and his staff to anyone I know and am certain that you will find you are pleased with their service as well.Thank you.

We loved Dr. Bob's caring ways but were not happy with the way the male staff treated us or our dying dog. Dr. Bob has a gentle way with the animals and you can tell he likes what he does. Unfortunately, Dr. Bob is no longer there...he sold the practice and we were never even notified. We referred a friend to him and he was simply gone, with another vet in his place. I was sad not to be able to say goodbye and felt that not getting communication about the change in vets and ownership was inexcuseable.

I am so grateful to Dr. Bob and his staff for everything they did to help with my sick cat, Simon. He is doing great and almost back to 100%!
They were kind enough to see my pet at last minute's notice and correctly diagnosed the problem without a lot of unnecessary tests. While waiting for the blood results, they kept us informed and updated and went out of their way to answer any questions. They are obviously true animal lovers and I would recommend them again and again!

Dr. Bob was very helpful with my cat as I had been at another vet clinic where they tried giving her 2 different kinds of antibiotics for a type of cat "yeast infection" which had not helped at all, and was referred to him when they were busy, which was great because he ended up prescribing her an antifungal med to help clear up the problem-antibiotics can cause and further agitate a yeast infect.--so I was so happy and relieved that he was able to resolve this! He also gave me a cat (animal) pill throat dispenser to help with giving her the medicine which was great so she wouldn't taste it--I also wish other clinics would have mentioned this! He seems very kind and knowledgeable of animals and am definitely glad I went.

dr bob has been a friend and my vet for several years now. i have come to see that he is one of the most caring vets i have ever met. he takes great care of the animals in the hospital and also at his home. my dog has had surgery with dr bob and is doing wonderfully. i have never fully trusted veternarians before i met dr bob. i have never met a more honest and caring person. i am honored to know such a wonderful person. his staff are just as caring as he is. the hospital is clean tidy and the staff are friendly. i have referred several of my close friends as well to the hospital. and i will keep doing so.. thanks dr bob hannis is doing great. :)

We are animal lovers. Especially big dogs in that we have had the Borzoi breed (Russian Wolf Hounds) and Grey Hounds (recently including Foster Care) for more than twenty years. Big dogs are wonderful to us especially now that the kids are grown and gone and become our children. This also means you have to find a special kind of vet who really knows what he is doing. We found such a vet many years ago when we moved to Irvine from San Diego. It has been more than 10 years that we have met and used the professional and gentle services of Dr Bob Hildreth, DVM who is Irvine Blvd. Animal Hospital.

We looked at a lot of vets, but Dr. Bob as he is affectionately known met and passed all of requirements to care for our much loved big dogs. I remember that one item that really impressed me was that diploma from UC Davis. The number 1 veterinary school in the nation. And, he loved horses and even successfully treated fish the Japanese Koi. Amazingly here was a Vet who ran the gamut from large and hardy horses to the small and delicate, fish! There was no question or concern that we could place our kids into his gentle and experienced hands, and we did.

We even visited Dr. Bobs home, although, more so as an Italian Villa Ranch near Temecula. What a place! You could vacation there and it is no wonder that the animals who are boarded there when their owners go away, are kept safe, well cared for and happy. His ranch is nestled in a beautiful area of rolling hills surrounded by owners of well kept homes and property.

We recently added to our family with Dr. Bob asking us if we could handle another Borzoi a pup and litter mate to the pup we already have. Now we have four 3 Borzoi and a retired racing Grey Hound named Clem. All are carefully tended by Irvine Blvd Animal Hospital. Why are we writing this? Only because we thought it was time to tell you about Dr. Bob and to say thanks for the excellent care he has provided over all these years.

PROS: The most caring place for animals and their owners.

When it comes to Dr. Robert Hildreth (Dr. Bob), I hold the highest regard for him for several reasons. My mother and Dr. Bob have been friend through the dog show for many years. He has helped me on several occasions, one in particular was when my Lhaso Apso (Gizmo) pulled something out in his back and we had tried many things with no releif. After consulting with Dr. Bob and following his recommendations and treatments, Gizmo had a full recovery with no reoccurance.
Just this past week, I experienced something devastating with Gizmo. Gizmo was unable to urinate and had stopped eating for a couple of days. I made an appointment at a veterinarian here in the San Diego area and he was diagnosed with stones in his Ureithium Tube. The tests and x-rays had already come to over $450.00 and the doctor recommended have a procedure done to flushed the stones back into his bladder. The cost for the procedure was over $800.00. If this procedure did not work, it would be necessary to have surgery at a cost between $2,500-$3,000. I explained to the doctor that this was very difficult because I did not have this kind of money.
The Vet performed the procedure and it was unsuccessful and the doctor recommended putting Gizmo to sleep because I was unable to pay for the surgery. Devastated, I called Dr. Bob for a second opinion. Dr. Bob asked me to go through everything in detail with him so he knew the whole story. He then called the San Diego area Vet and went over the procedures that was performed on Gizmo. Once Dr. Bob knew the whole story, he called me back. He first assured me that the San Diego area veternian was competant and sounded knowledgable, but lacked the experience to perform the procedure adaquately for successful results. Dr. Bob said to bring Gizmo to his office in Irvine and he would perform the surgery that evening at half of the above cost. He also said not to worry about the money; the only important thing is to save Gizmos life and thats

this place is wonderful. It is in a nice location, wonderful doctors that are trained and have specialities. Also they really care about the animals too.
One special thing that I do like is that they are located in a nice neighborhood of irvine, central, and also they do grooming for under 50.00. There is also a small school for for dogs. One story i heard from another customer here is that they taught a dog with one leg amputated how to walk and survive.
