The Scene
With its marble floors, mahogany furniture and enormous chandeliers, the split-level lobby offers a stunning example of the kind of style that travelers have come to expect from Hyatts across the country. It is gorgeous and undeniably luxurious, although it lacks the character and intimacy of many smaller San Francisco hotels.

The Details
But big can be beautiful, especially when it comes to the kind of amenities boutique hotels just can't provide. Among the outstanding recreational options are a fully stocked fitness center, a vast golf course at the Presidio and a heated outdoor lap pool. There is also a 3,200-square-foot ballroom for social events and business gatherings. Overall, you can count on a comfortable bed, friendly and accommodating staff, and every convenience you need.

Key Points

  • Deluxe Amenities
  • Convenient Location
  • Knuckles Historic Sports Bar

The Inside Scoop

  1. Parking - This hotel only has valet parking and it will cost you about $38 per night.

Reviews for Hyatt-At Fisherman's Wharf

Ratings_icons Hyatt-At Fisherman's Wharf is a good place to stay at.

Christine K.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt FW with my sister and daughter from 8/20 - 8/23, 2009. Upon arriving at the hotel the bellman was busy with other guests so we waited. The front desk clerk was kind enough to load the baggage cart with our luggage. Our room was 425, which is quite a distance from the elevator but upon entering the room, it was absolutely beautiful with comfortable beds. I called downstairs for a mini frigerator. Someone brought it up within 5 minutes. Had no problem getting a second room key. Visited the bar at Knuckles a couple of times, the bartenders are all friendly and professional, in particular Clayton and Tom. Glad the housekeeping staff were quiet. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the street on a prior trip and found the housekeepers there loud chatting away as they were cleaning. I would give this hotel 9 out of 10. The only drawback was the dining menu was limited, although the items we ordered were pretty good. I would stay there again.

I stayed here last year with a large group and I really enjoyed it. If you want to explore that part of town, then it's very convenient. The rooms are very nice. The hotel restaurant is nothing to write home about though.

I stayed here for a few nights with a friend and absolutely loved the view that came with it. You definitely pay for what you get at this place and I couldn't expected any less but rather got more.

Ratings_icons Cute hotel is amazing location

This hotel has the feel of a New York-chic, boutique hotel. It is clean, crisp and modern. The service is superb. Also, you can't be in a better location. There are some great restaurants within walking distance (try Fisherman's Grotto #9 - delicious seafood and amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge).

The main thing about this hotel is the staff. They are all friendly, willing to help and attentive to guest needs. I had problem with my room key, and with just one phone call -- while waiting outside my room, they came up quick, fast and efficient, gave me a spare key. and this is around 2:45am.

The Knuckles sports bar was mind blowing. 32 big screen and flat screen tv's side to side was excellent, didnt missed any sports story. The bartender is friendly and can mixed drinks very well.

Pros: Really Great Bar, friendly, helpful,, attentive staff.

Cons: no minibar in room., can get crowded bar, so come in early.

Ratings_icons Perfect Trip

paragone

I used Hyatt's Vacation Package which included airfare and hotel. 5 days 4 nights, plus round trip airfare from Florida was $500! The staff at Hyatt F.W. were very friendly but not to the point of being bothersome. We were in the economy rooms on the 2nd floor and the only thing wrong was the carpet needed cleaning. Knuckles Sports Bar has good food and a nice atmosphere. The little Hollywood Cafe across the street has good food and the best fresh orange juice. I would stay there again.

Pros: Travel packages, Friendly, Knuckles

Cons: Dirty Carpet in 265, Comp. coffee was bad
