Parts of my recent letter to the DR (a term I use loosely)
When I first came into your office, you told me that an implanted tooth would cost $xx and that would include any ex-rays and office visits for that procedure. You then quoted me a price of $xx total for the implant plus the deep cleaning and extraction.I think it??s fair to say that only half the work was done as I do not have an implant in my mouth.Your debit column may very well be what your normal prices are but these are not the prices that you quoted me.Because nothing was done on the $xx charge and only half of the $xx charge was done, my total credit should have been $xx which means you owe me an additional credit of $xx.You can??t charge someone an amt one day and credit back a different amt on another day. That??s like buying a shirt for full price and getting sale price credit when you return it.That??s not only bad for business, it??s illegal.Clearly, your debit column has been overstated per your original quoted prices or you are reneging on your original quote.I will expect to get confirmation that an additional credit of $xx has been processed to my account within ten business days.If I do not receive that confirmation, I will file a dispute with the credit card company.
A piece of my letter to CareCredit for dispute...
My problem is not what the Dr. charged me but how he arrived at the credit he gave for all that was not done. The $xx fee was never started so that means of the $xx credit he did give me, only $xx was for the original charge of $xx. All I can say to that is WHAT!!! He must be outside his mind. How can he tell me a cost of $xx on one day and only give a $xx credit on another day when I do not have a tooth in my mouth. No tooth was made or even started. It was supposed to be a screw in tooth but he messed up when putting the receiving end into my jaw and had to remove it because it still hurt and was pinching after maybe 2 weeks time. Then he tried to blame me for it being infected, which it wasn??t, then by saying it was because I was smoking. When I told him that I had quit, then he insinuated that I must have diabetes and it is affecting my heal time. Again I have to say WHAT!!! That??s like saying you have a brain tumor because you forgot something. Are you kidding me! It hurt because it was pinching and moving around so it was placed incorrectly. It was at that point that I decided to let him remove the receiving end of the tooth and not complete the work because not only did he not check to see if I had an infection, which I didn??t, but he didn??t even take an ex-ray to make sure the piece was in correctly nor did he look in my mouth before all these assumptions were made.It was also on that visit that he quoted, and promptly charged me $xx for the work on the other side of my mouth yet all he did was make an impression. Now he is saying that he made the crown at a cost of $xx but discarded it because of my decision to discontinue his services. Why would a person discard the crown when there are unresolved issues with the receiving party?Regardless, I will not pay that amount as I believe the Dr. overstated his figures considering the quotes I was given.By the way, isn??t it just bad business (illegal) to charge people for something that hasn??t happened yet? Shouldn??t he be charging for the procedures as they occur?

highly recommended. The doctor is very knowledgeable and caring and the staff are all very well trained. I would defenatly reccomand friends and family to cypress dental group.
If you have a major procedure the doctor will personally call you and make sure that you are ok. He is very caring.
