Thank god I had a gift certificate to this place b/c I would never spend my own money for a massage here! I was put in a small room & I couldn't relax b/c I could hear everything going on outside where people were getting manicures! HORRIBLE. I had a little better experience @ the La Bell Spa in SF but still not worth the money.

I went here for a manicure. The workers look miserable, they don't talk to you and the work is mediocre. The front desk girl is extremely prissy and rude. I wouldn't go back.

That was the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The place is overcrowded, no massage chairs or foot spa. The foot and hand massage is just a few strokes while applying the lotion. The nail polish on both my feet and hands looks as though I had done it myself without wearing my contact lenses. Very BAD experience. Overpriced - $95 for both manicure and pedicure.

I got my first facial here and it was a wonderful experience. I ended up getting an alcohol-free toner and it is the best thing I ever bought. The only downside is that the prices are on the higher end.

La Belle Day Spa and Salon is a great place to go and a pedicure / manicure. Most of the girls are really good, some are mediocre. I have never used it for others after I got a facial and they really did the hard sale on their skin products. For their prices, I don't think they really need to add the hard sale. I think other day spas are more spa like.

Not all massage therapists are equal to say the least. The majority that I have tried are not good at all but one or two are great: Galina, Arina, and Melody. Elizabeth is great for waxing and facials.

We went there for a bachelorette party, thinking that this was one of the best spas in the Palo Alto area. We only went there for manicures and pedicures, so I can't comment on the other services. The place was noisy, messy, and not very clean. My manicure was done on a dirty towel that had old nail polish on it. Most places put clean towels down. This surprised me since we were all paying premium prices for a manicure that I could have gotten for $12.The workers were rude, speaking in their own language over all the customers. This is a total turn off. The bride to be got an $80 pedicure and got her feet scalded by hot water poured into cheap plastic basins. Again, for the price we were paying, we expected much more. I found this place, so it was kind of embarrassing for me.We left with mediocre manicures but were all very disappointed. Wouldn't go back.

Once you get past the fact in it's in a shopping mall and actually go in, it's a really nice experience. While you're waiting for your treatment they bring you warm water to soak your feet which is a really nice touch. The treatment and service was good. Prices on the high side.
PROS: warm foot bath
CONS: pricey

La Belle has a full range of services available in a convenient location. The decor is nice and modern, it's not a zen-like retreat like Watercourse Way. I found the staff to be very responsive, prompt and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about treatment options. Prices are on the mid to high range.

La Belle is a full-service salon which might be a good spot to pamper yourself. It provides massage, manicure, hair styling and other services. However, every luxury has its price and La Belle's prices are very high.

La Belle is probably the best place in town for manicures and pedicures. Their manis/pedis last far longer than the ones you get at the cheaper places in town. They are also more relaxing, and they clearly use better products.

I've been going to the Town and Country La Belle for pedicures and manicures for about five years. It's expensive but I prefer to go here rather than somewhere less expensive because it's very clean. The pedicures I get here last a long time as do the manicures and I'm very hard on my hands. I have not used any of the other services.
PROS: clean, well appointed
CONS: expensive

I have been going to La Belle for 15 years and although I have had mediocre service occasionally, I continue to patronize this spa because of it's convenient location.
PROS: location
CONS: inconsistent

I have had many facials but I feel that LaBells have offered the best ones that I have experience. They not only give you a good facial they massage you and take care of your hands and feet. The atmosphere is very relaxing.
PROS: Atmosphere
CONS: Sometimes you can get a person that is not as experience as you would like.

LaBelle seems to have survived more on its chi-chi appeal than on the actual services rendered. Don't get me wrong - I've used this place a million times (lack of other good day spas in the immediate area). But had I a choice, this probably wouldn't be the place to spend my money for a relaxing getaway. The services are great - massage, facials, mani/pedi. But you do pay an extra premium for those for the environment. The last time I went was disappointing. A girlfriend and I booked a mani/pedi session and looked forward to gabbing but, unfortunately, we were in the "quiet area" where people were getting massages about 2 feet away (behind walls that didn't reach the ceiling). So we weren't allowed to talk. So much for a nice getaway with a girlfriend.
PROS: Best on the peninsula
CONS: Pseudo-posh

My experience was a bit shocking to say the least. As I use to get my hair cut there all the time. Paying the very high price for it to. But it was a splurge and always excellent cut. I'd always kind of wondered what the spa services would be like. I was thinking very up scale. I finally made an appointment for various day of treaments. When they took me to get undressed I was dismayed at how small the changing area and bathroom was. Most great spas have a nice changing bathroom area... so that was a shock. Then I get to the so called quiet area... and the staff was so very noisey walking back and forth in the hall ways no respect for quietness. I just could hardly believe that such a nice place would be ran so very poorly. I had trouble relaxing because of the staff. So then finally I am taken for my massage and it wasn't in an actual room more like walls put up with a door. The walls didn't even go up to the ceiling. All exposed. So felt more like I was in a cubicle. Poorly done. The massage was so so. So all the excitment of going there was just over rated. I didn't feel rejuvinated.. felt like a waste of money and my time. Won't go back again. When we go to a spa we like to feel like Kings and Queens and total pampering with relaxation. Staff should always be well trained and retrained if needed for top notch service. Never should staff memebers be making any type of noise nor should they be talking in the hall ways. Quiet area originally was designed for the person to take 15 to 20min to unwind and unravel a bit from their day, kids, home, work ect. This helps them calm down and prepare for their service mentally. If your distruptive in that process takes away from the whole point of even going.
PROS: Looks upscale........
CONS: NOT upscale by a long shot.

La Belle is a great day spa. Hibiba, is an awesome massge therapist and she really listens to what you want. I highly recommend her service-- please note that she only caters to females, not males.
The downside of La Bella is that I don't think that their "presentation" and initial interactions are very "spa-like".
Their robes and slippers tend to old and sometime almost ratty. However, they do offer, cheese and crackers and fruit that you can eat before or after your massage which I think is a very nice touch.
PROS: great location
CONS: not serene and calm enough

Manicures and pedicures are pricey here, but the quality is worth it. My pedicure lasted over a month with no chipping, and I'm hard on my feet. The atmosphere was hectic and crowded in the nailcare area and I expected a more spa-like atmosphere. The environment was friendly however, and I would recommend the nail care for special occassions when you feel like splurging.
PROS: Quality nail care
CONS: Noisy
