We travel. My husband works for an airline, so I mean we travel a lot... sometimes to remote and rugged places. I really hate having to put make-up on with a flashlight... but without make-up I really look washed out.
I'm a dental hygienist, and I had two patients who had Sue do permanent make-up for them. They looked terrific. It looked natural, not overdone. These two ladies had completely different complexions.... one was dark and one was fair. Each had a color palette that perfectly complemented their skin and hair coloring. Think about how closely your hygienist looks at your face, and that's saying something.
I had thought about permanent make-up for years, but seeing these two ladies sent me to Sue for a free consultation. I still had doubts and tons of questions. She was able to answer all of them. There were lots of "before and after" pictures to look at... and lots of different "styles" to think about.
I don't wear a lot of make-up, so I wanted my eye-liner to be thin and not too dark. I wanted my lips just to have a touch of color. I was also pretty concerned about the cleanliness and sterility of the work area and equipment. She explained all of her precautions and satisfied me on that question. Once I decided to go ahead with the procedure, we discussed the colors and chose them together.
Sue really takes her time and uses as much topical anesthesia as you need to keep you comfortable. Now, I won't lie... I did feel it, but whenever I was feeling it a little too much, we'd stop, and she'd apply more topical anesthesia.
I first had eye liner and "gradual" lips done (like liner with lips partially filled in). Six months later I love it. I just went back and had my eyebrows done.
You do need to be prepared that for the first week; the color will look darker and brighter than it will once you heal and it settles in. I mention that because I'm there with the eyebrows as I write this. She explains all that. She also sends you home with complete instructions on how to care for your new make-up for the first several days including soothing ointment to apply.
Sue is a true artist and a professional. She wants you to look good... but in your own style. She'll give you suggestions, but listen to what you want.
We went on a three week camping trip this summer. I figured that was the ultimate test. It was great just getting up, washing my face, putting on sunscreen, and knowing I looked good.

Susan is an excellent permanent make-up artist. She does great work. My eyebrows look very natural. I am 50 years old and was tired of using eyebrow pencil. Also, I didn't like the fact that by the end of the day, they had disappeared! Susan did a fantastic job! She made sure I was comfortable and took her time. Her price was very reasonable. There was very little pain. My eyebrows completely healed in a week. Her shop is private, located on her property and is very clean and comfortable. Susan has 20 years experience and it shows in her work!
