We have been eating at Straw Hat for years! We are very use to Chicago thin crust pizza. Don't get me wrong we also love Old Chicago deep dish, YUM! When we go to Straw Hat we ask them to make the crust very thin, they are very happy to do

Ordered the large 18" combo. Substituted bacon for salami and onions for green peppers. It was done reluctantly. The toppings were plentiful. The sausage was above average and the linguica was tasty. The toppings were to the edge. The sauce was appropriate. The cheese was average. The crust was a major failure. It was extremely doughy. The top half of it was so doughy you could take a fork and make checkered patterns in it. It was at least 1/8 inch deep. A chain store should have better consistancy. This is very common problem with California pizza joints so at least they are at par with their peers.

Pros: toppings

Cons: dough
