I have been going to Bishops Pumpkin Farm for as long as I can remember. Its a family tradition to go for a hay ride to pick our own pumpkin, eat popcorn balls, and their fresh apple cider. I look forward now as an adult to take my own children there every year. They have grown, though. It is the most commercialized pumpkin farm you will ever see. They now offer train rides, a corn maze, a marble hunt, stores, and several locations for food. Make sure you pick up a apple pie. PS. They make their famous pies for both Thanksgiving and Christmas as well....I drive an hour to pick mine up every season.

The kids and I went to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in May 2008 for the Geocaching Mega Event of the year: GeoWoodstock. We had a great time. Not only did we have the opportunity to spend some time with fellow Geocachers, but we also visited the petting zoo, rode the train, panned for marbles, and much more. There was so much for the kids to do they couldn't possibly do it all in the one day we were there. We will be back again, for sure, though.

This is a fun pumpkin farm to visit. They have so much to do especially during the fall season. They have a wide variety of pumpkins to choose from. They offer a hay ride, haunted house and a maze for the children. The price is reasonable. If you have a school class go they will give you a discount. They also have fresh produce that they sell throughout the year. There is plenty of parking and fun.

When the leaves start to fall, and you're ready to get pumpkins for your family, a trip to Bishop's is a must!! Located in Wheatland, California, the many acre farm has been around for many decades!!! There are several fields in which they grow pumpkins of all sizes, and a tractor takes you out to them to choose your perfect pumpkin!! (It also comes and picks you back up.) There is a petting zoo, a train (which costs money), different playthings for the kids (most are free, but some do have a cost), and more!! There are gift shops, snack shack (with all kinds of homemade goodies!!), and more!! Best of all, admission is totally free, as is parking (except on the weekends.) Great family place, I highly recommend this for a fun family place - good for all ages!!!
