Our basketball team went to Pizza King after the Cresent City Tournament. I think they had great service. Our boys were feeling excited after there recent win and were full of energy. I always worry about taking a large group of teenage boy somewhere like that when they feel that way but Pizza King let the kids play pool and video games. They were very nice and the pizza was good. They were very busy that night so it did take some time for us to get our pizza. However the friendly service makes up for time it took.

After golfing at Kings Valley golf course (great little course by the way), my two sons (15 and 9) and I went to the Pizza King for lunch. The service was prompt, the price was right, and the pizza was good. These other primadonnas should stick to their high priced boutique eateries and selfish pampering.

I was travelling with my family down the coast and we arrived in Crescent City hungry for a good lunch. We drove around Crescent City (which one should avoid but that's another review) and passed the "Pizza King" several times, not liking its look but eventually settling on it in the absence of other choices...a decision we came to regret. Without going into too much detail, suffice to say that the place is old and worn out. The service is terrible, the food worse, and we left the restaurant and the town with much relief. As I recall, we ordered two pizzas - one for my wife and I and one for my two daughters. It took close to 30 minutes for the pizzas to arrive and while they were hot, the toppings were bland and sad-looking. The pizza was greasy and after eating a couple of pieces, I felt nauseated due to the greasiness. This is one king that should be deposed. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place (and Crescent City).

On a trip down the California Coast, my husband and I recently stopped at Pizza King in Crescent City. I wanted to eat Thai food, but I conceded to my pizza-loving husband. Plus, their lunch special is cheap- $4.99 for a pizza slice and salad. I quickly regretted my concession. We ordered and retrieved our salad bowls and made our salad bar trips, but much to my dismay it was a one-trip salad bar, and the bowls were quite small. The salad offerings were not the best quality and sparse. I was hoping the restaurant would soon redeem itself with the pizza. When we ordered, I was disappointed that they only offered pepperoni or Hawaiian for the slice as I am not a meat fan. They also said they had one slice of hawaiian, so if we ordered two we would have to wait twenty minutes. We ordered the one Hawaiian and a pepperoni and were hoping for a quick lunch. We waited twenty minutes, if not longer. Our pizza arrived piping hot, and that is the only good thing I have to say about it. It was reminiscent of Pizza Hut, only much greasier. The ham on the Hawaiian seemed to be lunch meat, and the pineapple was canned. The crust, my favorite part of pizza, was bland and dry. On top of this, the service was rude and obviously anti-tourist. Do not go to Pizza King.
