I would never have imagined I'd be going to a wig shop, but I recently went with my mom in preparation for chemo. She decided to shop for a wig and some hats/turbans/wraps and Godiva's Secret came highly recommended by Kaiser staff. We were treated compassionately and the staff was both knowledgeable and helpful. My mom bought a wig that looks so natural my brother didn't know it wasn't her hair and several other headcoverings. She even got a hairpiece that's just bangs to tuck under a scarf or hat. The icing on the cake was the shop's 10% discount for chemo patients and a free ""haircut"" (okay, buzz job). They also do free wig trimming (you can come back any time for that). It's nice to do a business with folks that care about their customers and not just about making a buck. They're sensitive to those who come see them because they have cancer and it was a fabulous experience that I highly recommend. While we were there, there were a couple of customers who just enjoy changing hairstyles and buying a variety of wigs. They were satisfied too.
