Since you really only have two choices for movies in SLO (not including the palm or the drive-in) you pretty much have to settle for what you get. However, the Downtown Theaters are always a good place to see a movie. Matinees are the way to go since the price goes up around $2.50 for evening shows. Students save $0.50 which is better than nothing, just don't forget your school ID or you'll never get the discount. The food is, as always, expensive so enlist a friend with a big purse to sneak in some snacks. Oh, and they won't allow any sort of hot drinks so finish your starbucks before you go in! The seats aren't spectacular but are on par and fine for your average movie. I just wish the armrests could be moved out of the way!
