Horrible.

Dr Chek abruptly terminated service without any prior warning, leaving me without a crucial medication for two days. She refused to meet with me to discuss the issue, and I wasn't told for 3 days. This prevented me from getting another doctor .. . a receptionist stated it was about med refill dates. It was actually 32 days since my last 30 day re-fill, and they refused acting like I was some kind of drug addict. I'm 275 lbs people. . .. and I'm a speed freak

I had actually lost part of my Rx on a trip, and had gone 5 days w/o. I They couldn't even tell me for 2 days, and instead gave me the run-around while I continued to drive without my RX which keeps me awake. When I left the office, I told the receptionists that I was likely to crash and hurt/kill myself. . their response, yeah, sorry about that!

They screw up medical records, and forgot to document the few times that SHE screwed up the dosage and gave me less than I normally take. Thus, when I went back to get a refill, they marked it down as if I had gotten full supply each time.

Even if they had genuine concerns about my medication, I would think that they would have the ethics to discuss this with me. Nope, instead we went from one month every thing being ok to, you're on your own. It cost me a day and a half from my job, which I FINALLY was able to show up regularly for, and was placed on administrative leave because I told them about the sudden change in medication.

Actually, in my appointment prior to this, Dr. Chek asked if I was ok at the current dosage. Un fricken real. Thanks for the genuine concern and abandonment. Oh yeah, I had also been taking chantix, which recently was found to cause heart attacks and such. When I asked her about the recent findings, she didn't know anything about it. Try reading JAMA once in a while, folks. Good luck with the medical board. My freshman students are more professional about things. They at least wouldn't hide from me for two days and refuse to personally meet to discuss the issue.
Amateur. . .. . . I've never known a doctor to not be able to discuss concerns directly with their patients.

This practice is very good and offers quality patient care. Physician assistants are every bit as good as regular doctors and never will you walk out of there feeling uncared for. Top notch all the way! Limited insurance acceptance is their only drawback.
