I can't believe this place is still in business! I have not read 1 positive review but I believe them all after experiencing much of the same problems. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE! SLOW AND UNWELCOMING. My husband and I stopped in one weekday afternoon for a drink and appetizer but after waiting 15 min or more for any server to come and take a drink order and serve us after we got seated with menus we decided to walk out feeling thirsty and slightly ticked off. Needless to say we have not gone back on our own but once with friends where we happened to be sitting out in the patio next to a cops retirement party. Where I kept wondering who was going to be their designated driver! Then another experience my adult children had there, one who is a server herself, they all said their service was so awful they will never go back and they haven't to this day! So why is this place still in business? I may return when I se e its under new management!

Though I have eaten at the latitude grill several times I have always only gone for appetizers and drinks. So this is not a review of anything other than that.

On a sunny warm afternoon the outside patio is the place to be for a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Any number of the appetizers goes along perfectly with your choice beverage. Everytime I go I order the Ahi Tuna Poke, if you like ahi you'll ove this version of the dish. An excellent sauce/flavoring to boot.

I have dined at Latitude in small groups before, and the service was slow, But I went recently, with a larger group from work (my recommendation) and we had to be very careful with bread, to pass around, so we could get one piece each, getting a glass of water was a 20 minute wait, Our Wait person was most unfriendly, and I couldn't believe the food staff that served us were so rude.
I ordered the Hanger Steak medium and it was well done, and tough, the chicken one of the party ordered was lackluster and dry, and getting wine, took a long time, we weren't asked in the beginning if we wanted a drink., it was very pricey for the quality of food, and service, and I most likely will never go there again. Mark the Manager said he was sorry, no offer of a dessert like most places would have .

Pros: The lounge is attractive, and in daylight the little lake is charming

Cons: Parking was very difficult .

I have always heard different things about this place. It's fun to go drinking but expensive the food was ok not great for the price. My husband and friend went there on a Saturday night. The bouncer told them that they were filled to capacity so he would not let them in.....strange since they were letting other people in who walked up behind them. Ok, if they were not dressed right say that.....don't be an #ss and say sorry, too many people and let others in as you are standing there.... too make a long story short.....my husband and his friend got beat "RODNEY KING" STYLE first by the lying bouncers then the bouncers had the crowd inside so 6 ROHNERT PARK COPS COULD BEAT THEM. (no witness since the bouncers held people back from seeing) after my husband was choked unconsious they let up on him and told him to go home..... his friend got beat again and thrown(literally) into the back of a cop car and taken to jail. So would I recommend this place no way.... not unless you like to be beaten by the "ROHNERT PARK COPS AND BOUNCERS OF LATITUDE"!!!!

We recently moved to Rohnert Park from San Mateo. While looking for a new house and trying to sell our old one, we spent a lot of time in Rohnert Park. The first thing I noticed about Rohnert Park was that they had just about every fast food joint and chain restaurant imaginable. This, to us, was not a good thing. But we found a house we fell in love with and finally sold our old one.

Prior to moving we stayed at the Doubletree hotel and walked to a local restaurant called Latitudes. The bar is great, the food was better than anything we had tried in Rohnert Park so far. I had the macadamia crusted Mahi. My husband had the ribs. The mahi was the special that night. The next time we went, the special was macadamia nut crusted halibut, which they were out of, so I ordered off the menu and got the crab crusted mahi. It was okay, but I started to notice a theme. The last time we ate their, I ordered their special, which was macadamia nut crusted mahi again.

This time it was not good. The service was marginal at best. We had to ask for bread, which came out hot and fresh but that was as good as it got. I am only rating this restaurant a 4. The lounge area that night was also really bad. We sat at our table and waited for a snobby waiter to finally take our order. I had a lemon drop that was only 1/2 full! The waiter also had to be summoned by a very conscientous hostess who noticed us just sitting there. When our drinks were taking so long to get to the table, she had to once again find our waiter.

The lounge used to be it's saving grace. The specials are not very special at all, to say the least. I wonder what kind of fish they will crust next time? Sadly, we won't be going back. It is not that difficult to drive to Santa Rosa or Petaluma. At least they have good restaurants!

I wish that someone with cooking skills beyond crusting fish with nuts would open up a restaurant. It 's been difficult adjusting to Ropa

Pros: The restaurant and lounge area are completely separate and do not interere with each other.

Cons: Their specials never change. They are just menu items.

What happened to Latitude? I had a lovely dinner there shortly after it opened, but hadn't returned until very recently. The 'updated' laminated menus were laden with cheesy photos(like coffee shop menus, replete with a sticky residue.) I ordered the Lettuce Cups appetizer - a dish I order often in Thai restaurants. What arrived was some wilted lettuce leaves alongside a pile of a pukey pinkish grey blob of what was presumably a spiced ground up meat mixture. I could tell by the odor that it was not fresh. I immediately notified the waitress. She shrugged and said that was how it was supposed to be. The potstickers were overly greasy, nothing was tasty enough to be memorable. We were dining outdoors and a breeze actually broke our umbrella pole causing it to bend in half, trapping us beneath the umbrella. Several customers jumped up to rescue us. Eventually a young man from the restaurant strolled out. The manager was too busy to come out, he apologized. The manager was aware of what had happened, the young man assured us. We asked for the check. We were charged for the Lettuce Cups which we hadn't even tasted! Neither our waitress, nor anyone else acknowledged the broken umbrella incident. Several of the staff seemed to have had a drink or two too many to be working. Perhaps the manager had too?

PROS: Lakeside Seating
CONS: Disappointing Food, Extremely Poor Customer Care

This restaurant is very pretty and serves tons of funs drinks. It is pricey, especially for dinner. I've only tried the appetizers and they were good. If you are on a budget, go early for their happy hour as they have great drink specials then.
