In the midst of little Kensington, this little place is a good choice for a family-friendly weekend brunch. My father-in-law lives up the hill and loves this place! The service is spot on and the food is pretty good. My husband prefers the chicken; I like the veggies. There's not a lot of room so it gets crowded easily. If you have little ones who are too antsy to sit through an entire meal, they have a small play area with toys so you can at least finish your meal!

The Kensington Bistro, just a few feet across the circle from the Kensington Pub on Colusa in Kensington, has a small play area for small children in a corner of their restaurant. It's not too big, but it has lots of toys for kids to play with, and a small area rug for them to sit on. The bistro serves traditional American type bistro food. It was nice to eat my roasted chicken dinner, drink a glass of fume blanc, and watch my kid play happily with the toys.

PROS: Lots of toys
CONS: A little quiet for a child-friendly restaurant
