Sir Francis Drake Hotel

Attractive but pricey. Got two glasses of wine upon my arrival at the lobby bar and it was $26. Crazy!! Staff is a bit cool. I think our sheets were cleaned once, and we were there 7 days. It is a convenient location. Had to walk a block or so every morning to get a cup of coffee.

Rooms were clean and nice but so small. Good service and food. Housekeeping was very accomodating. It is also well located and not a bad walk to the convention center, restaurants etc. Would recommend this hotel

Rooms where OK size, Nice location and easy to get to the play we went to. Only bad thing is bed bugs. My wife was eaten alive by bed bugs. Well not eaten alive but many on her legs. Luckily they liked her instead of me :)

My parents stayed in the Sir Francis Drake once when they were visiting me, and from going into their rooms, I got the impression that although the tone and atmosphere of the room, and entire hotel for that matter, are really cool, the rooms are pretty darned small. Maybe it was just that particular room, but I wouldnt pay what they paid for the size of the room.

A famous hotel located in the heart of union square. Great food and great location to see every thing that you want to see in San Francisco. If you can afford it you must go there. Very pricey.
