This place is cheap, convenient, and tasty. Although the atmosphere is lacking, the value of the food isn't bad. The servers could be friendlier, but for a place in the Asian Ghetto - I mean, Durant Square, you can't expect too much. Come if you need a quick fix

This is good cheap Thai food close to campus. It has all the basic things you'd expect. It's not really delicious, but it's predictable. If you want great Thai, go to Cha'am, Thai Temple, or even Marnee Thai in the city. If you want cheap convenient food that is better than the nearby alternatives, go here.
If you're not familiar with this area, you should know that this place is located in an enclave of cheap Asian restaurants adored by Cal students.

Located in Durant Food court, it is easy to pass this place up. However, if you do you will be missing out on some great Thai. It is for great reason that Cal students line up out the door for this place. Good, inexpensive Thai food.

Located in Durant Square, this place is a gem among the 8 ethnic restaurants here. After the renovation, this restaurant has become wheelchair friendly; with removable seats. Food on the menu are tasty & quick if you need to rush home to cram for a exam. My fav. plate is the Garlic Pepper Chicken and BBQ Beef. Can't go wrong with Thai Basil.

I have been to this place couple of times but I don't think I will go back! First of all the food is not cheap at all or super fast- I can get the same meal for better quality taste, and service at other thai restaurants like hua hin or thai house. This place is only good for those who don't want to go too far out of campus area or who haven't tasted REAL Thai food. The entrees come with a few pcs of chicken/beef thats coated with fat instead of real meat- and instead of vegetables its loaded with onions. And then they load up your plate with rice to make your plate look big. The dish itself doesn't even have the essence of true thai food!!

Simply the best fast Thai food around. It is no sit down and have a fancy meal kinda place, but the food says it all. The selection is phenomenal, and the vegetarian selection is is expansive. I like their Thai Ice Teas and I am big fan of:
-BBQ Pork/Beef (PLUM SAUCE Rocks)
-Garlic Pepper Chicken (a friend from LA has dreams about this stuff)
-Basil Fried Rice (Staple food for me---awesome)
-Pineapple Curry (absolutely outstanding curry for the price)
