I went here to try to get my air conditioner fixed. I asked the mechanic, Eli to contact me with an estimate and explain the problem to me before fixing the car. He agreed to this.

I dropped the car off at 9am, about 6 hours later Eli calls me to tell me that the air conditioner is fixed and that the total will be $100. I am annoyed that he didn't call me first with the estimate and to explain the problem but I went ahead and paid the $100 and left.

5 days later the air conditioner was no longer working. I bring the car in again, Eli tells me to leave the car there again, and he will look at it. I tell him numerous times, to CALL ME FIRST WITH AN ESTIMATE. He seems to understand this, but a few hours later, he calls to tell me the car has been fixed and the total will be $90!

At this point I am really angry, I am not sure if these guys just don't understand English or they are trying to rip me off, I am thinking they are trying to rip me off. When I go to pick up my car, I ask Eli why he didn't call me first with an estimate and to explain the problem, like I had asked. He acts like he thought he did, and then apologizes for the miscommunication. He tells me that this time they found a wet pipe where fluid was leaking and they replaced the pipe. Anyways, I pay the $90 and leave.

2 days later my air conditioner is broken again. At this point I am really angry because I have already wasted $190 on absolutely nothing.

I go back into the auto body shop, this time I refuse to leave my car with them but demand a refund. Eli only refunds me $90. I really think that he should have refunded me the entire $190 because:

1) He could not fix my air conditioner.
2) I never preauthorized the work, he did not give me an estimate, and he could not even tell me what the problem with my air conditioner was.
3) I basically paid him to do absolutely nothing for my car.
