Mountain view high school (MVHS) is part of the Mountain view Los Altos School District. This school is one of the best around and it is prefered to Los Altos (people would rather go here then there.) IN the past couple of years the school is even showing test scores that are around the same as Gunn and Palo Alto High schools (Two EXTREMELY good schools, two of the top on the country even.) They have everything you need here. Its a great school.

This is a good public school. Part of the reason is in the location, it is located in a very well provided for area. Mountain View is a great place to live, and apparently learn. The high school gives a good education, but the student really needs to try. They need to take up all the hardest subjects they can find. Only then will they achieve a great education. Otherwise, you are just a normal student. It provides good extracuricular activities. They have all the needed sports programs and clubs, although the sports teams aren't the best, they are not really championship winners. Overall good school.

pretty good school, fun activities. the student body is very diverse and the school has good academics. there are some minor theft problems. A lot of the students go on to four year schools. This school has been rated by Newsweek and offers an Advanced Placement program. The school is conveniently located and is medium in size.

MVHS is a great school academically (according to Newsweek, it is better than Palo Alto High)! It has a lot of clubs and many students are in band. It is over 50% white and the rest Asian, Hispanic, African-American, and Filipino. Students from MVHS generally get into UC/CSU schools and some even get into Stanford and Ivy League schools.

PROS: Great classes and teachers.
CONS: Could have better extracurricular activities.
