the santa clara and sunnyvale el camino real area has three major korean supermarkets: galleria plaza, hangook market, and gyopo shijang. i don't go to gyopo much simply because it doesn't look as clean (although it's probably just as good as the other two). i frequent hangook and galleria quite a bit. hangook market has the best variety, as it's the biggest of the three. the deli there's alright and the mini bbanggoobneun maeul bakery's awesome. i don't wear fur, so i don't patronise new york mopi, and i don't patronise psyche and the other li'l markets in there. however, i often buy groceries. the fish and banchan is better here at hangook than at galleria. however, the produce is fresher at galleria because they own their own farm south of san jos. also, at galleria's vesta bakery, you can get awesome, fresh, hot boonguh bbang or hodo gwaja, mmmm! the kimbap's better though here at hangook, as well as the odaeng selection.
PROS: great, wide selection, fresh fish and meat; good kimbap in deli
CONS: produce not as fresh as galleria, food court not as varied
