Strizzi's is a solid restaurant. My favorites are the bolognese and wood grilled chicken. I also love the fact that they do not charge you corkage on the first bottle of wine you bring in. Service is good, can be a bit noisy, but overall this is a hit in my book.

Did you know that Strizzis has a "small plates" menu with appetizers, ranging from $1.99 (fries, garlic bread, etc.) to $3.99 (cajun fried calamari, buffalo chicken wings)? I had the regular fried calamari for $2.99 and there was enough on the small plate to make me full! It was okay, especially for the price...and the service was excellent, so I would go back to Strizzis again.

Strizzi's has good food, service, etc... It's more than satisfactory and a hair short of "very good". I definitely eat there at least once every 3 months...alternatign between Strizzis and Pastas on S. Livermore, unable to decide which one is the better.

It's one of those restaurants where you look at the menu for a long time, and can't seem to be inspired with a selection that jumps out at you. Bruno's down the street is similar..they seem to have the requisite italian dishes, and yet don't have anything truly unique. This means if your in the mood for Italian, it's a fine restaurant, but if you really want great italian food you'll have to look elsewhere.

It has all the impressions of being a world class italian place,....but the food is just "good". It looks fancy, the servers are polished, the wine list is good, you get bread/oil/balsalmic etc...

When the restaurant is full I find the atmosphere to be uncomfortable..as in the tables are too close together...but I like space..when we go and it's not crowded it's fine.

PROS: Good Italian Food. Good service, booze, atmosphere.
CONS: Not great Italian Food. Menu not diverse enough for me.
