Nail Shop

I recently called to make a manicure/pedicure appt with The Nail Shop. The lady who answered said they have a nail party going on but she can still fit me in. This was a thursday night. I drove over there after work and when I got there, I checked in and sat there for about 30 minutes till someone was available. When I did get a nail lady she rushed me into the seat and basically did a 20 minute pedicure on me. She was rushing so she could get back into the nail party. I mean the massage was like a minute on each foot!!! Plus, when she was done I inquired about the manicure and she said "Too busy - sorry!" I was pissed! Money hungry is what they are. Should have turned people away when they realized they have a nail party and no one would be available but instead they collected my money and gave me crappy service. Too many other nail places to go to. Never again!

I've had my nails done here before and they've done a decent job, but I just went back after a few months of not going and I had the WORST job ever! An elderly asian lady who could barely see, (her glasses didn't seem to help) didn't even cut my cuticles, it's like she could barely see them, so she decided to skip cutting them all together and just gave me a poor excuse of "don't need cutting". When I objected to that, she got mad and only cut 2 of my fingers cuticles. Then she gave me a hand and arm massage WITH her latex gloves ON...how gross is that, as you can imagine it didn't feel good either. Lastly, she painted my nails very sloppily, and didn't even file the nails straight. I had a bad experience this time, and will never go back. Women that work there seem to be too involved in gossiping with each other (in their native tongue), that they don't pay attention to the client's needs. There are so many great nail salons in Walnut Creek..I don't advise going to this one, not worth the $$$.

PROS: Nice looking salon, good nail polish colors.
CONS: Manicurist don't take "care" of you...you don't feel pampered at all.

I always have my nails done here; Im what you consider a regular because of the good work and VERY NICE people they have working there. They do a nice job on your nails and give GREAT hand and feet massages as they do it. Don't hesitate to go here, they are worth the money!
