Absolutely love the sandwiches here. Sure you'll have a hard time finding parking, dodging a bum or two, and probably squeezing your way into the shop to place your order because of the line. The menu is on the top, order your sandwiches and wait..... ... meanwhile checking out what they have on the counter... sweet rice, mmm buns, snacks, desert drinks, spring rolls...and so much more!

So probably at this point you have your sandwich. Make sure you remember to ask for jalapeno to give it a little more bite. The sandwiches come with some sauce they drizzle on, meat, and pickled carrots. Make sure don't leave these sandwiches laying around for too long or else the bread gets all soggy!

The price is very very reasonable and the variety of selection is great too. I had chicken and my friend had pork sandwiches, both of them are very tasty! This is definitely a very cheap eat and fullfilling too!

Really good sandwich. I'll defer to the other learned reviewers for the specifics, and just say try it, it is really one of the best restaurants in San Francisco.

I was just in Vietnam and I can truthfully say that the sandwiches at Saigon Sandwiches are better than the real thing. They have the best baguettes that are just crispy enough, and their grilled chicken is always delicious. Really at under $3 each, this is the best deal in the city. They also have a nice selection of Vietnamese style mochi, drinks, and other snacks.

If you ever want a real genuine vietnamese sandwich that tastes great, without having to go to San Jose, buy it here. Very fast service, as well as really warm food when you get it. I don't like food that gets cold after 5 minutes, and this place seems to keep your food warm somehow even after half an hour of leaving the store. Try their regular vietnamese sandwich, it's pretty good.
