They made the experience painless and kept every commitment they made. And they did a great job of keeping both me and the insurance company up to date with what was going on. I would recommend them to all of my family and friends.

Chilton Autobody Burlingame SUCKS

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Every other car arriving into this place returns with the owner because the techs forgot something, fixed it incorrectly and so on. I worked at the front desk and know first hand this was occurring since I also was taking the brunt of the angry phone calls. Besides that the primarily Latino workers in the back are mistreated, not having enough supplies to do their jobs. Geee could that be a reason they don't strive for excellence or is it because the pay is so shabby they don't care. This would be why Chilton claims to "beat" everyone's prices. Yes, just remember you almost always get what you pay for.

Not only does your vehicle have a 50% chance of not being ready once you have already arrived to pick it up do to negligence but it will take longer than a shop who really knows what they are doing. Chilton takes longer, trust me, I witnessed it. And part of it is due to the incompetence in the back. The poor guy of a customer who left his vehicle with them for repair didn't have rental insurance so he was paying out of pocket for his rental. He ended up paying for about two weeks because Chilton promised a week and then something went awry and it took even longer, while this customer is having to pay and pay. If I didn't work behind the desk I would've told him to take it somewhere else that could have assisted him much faster!

Not only are all of the above details true, the owner is a pompous ass and the GM and manager are even more of a pompous ass. I could've sued for sexual harrassement but didn't want the next two years of my life to take on the course of what can be a super annoying law suit. The f****** GM was hitting on me from day one which made me extremely uncomfortable. I didn't say anything because I thought it would cease, I mean what am I supposed to do say something and risk the jerk letting me go. Jobs are hard to come by and the pay was good, so I endured. Anyway, they're all cocky in this place, I couldn't stand the energy. It's too bad because it's the owner's father who started the place thirty years ago and he was the only one who greeted my politely. His son unfortunatley doesn't reflect his father's manners or business savvy.

Chilton Autobody looks like a rundown shack once you step inside. It looks friggin' old and everywhere you look is tacky, tacky and MORE TACKY. I bet it didn't appear this way thirty years ago. You would think they would fix it up but no, it remains the same: old paint, old windows covered with dingy mini-blinds that are different pathetic colors depending on which window you are looking through.

If you still bring your car here after reading this........well like attracts like.
