I only went to Western Dental because they said they would give me an appointment in only two days!

I waited for 2 hours past my scheduled appointment, in a front room so full of flies people were using the clipboards to swat the air around them.

A dentist looked at my x-rays, said that she didn't want to keep me waiting any longer that day, so I should make another appointment, and she left.
I had waited two hours for a ten minute consult.
Inside, they were doing the dental procedures in the hall!

I went for my fillings and as I was being drilled, my mouth became filled with water and fluids, I began to choke, the tech was distracted and letting the fluid fill my throat!
Still choking and gagging, with a drill going full bore in my mouth I couldn't fully cough up the fluids, I was even jerking in the chair, and they just kept drilling!!!

When the dentist stopped, I sat my head up, and began coughing up what I could, some came up, but not everything, my breathing actually hurt. I let the dentist fill the holes so I could just get the heck out of there, but they used water to clear the stuff away, and again the tech forgot to use the suction on the water she was spraying, and again my mouth filled up with fluids and again I began choking and was forced to breathe in the fluids!
The dentist decided to skip the last filling. I coughed up a bit of the goo and fluid, but not enough.
The nervous tech took a polisher and buffed my teeth for a couple of minutes and then the tech left too.
I never had a cleaning.
No one came back.

There was spray and spatter, without so much as a paper curtain between us patients!
There were only chairs, within feet of each other, with water and fluids spraying about!
As I grabbed my purse and jacket to leave, a few feet away, there was another person being drilled, this one without the tech or any spraying water, he smelled of burning enamel, I stared into his smoking mouth as I went by.

My insurance was billed for, (at least), two visits, x-rays, various fillings, and a cleaning that never happened, and now I am going to have get a cleaning somewhere else, and my insurance won't cover the unfinished work, as they say everything was already reported as being done.

I am currently living on aspirin and Advil until I can see another dentist to see why there is so much pain still, the back filling on one side hurts so bad it wakes me at night, and I can barely chew, and I still need to get a cleaning.

I had to make an appointment with my doctor, I have to find out why my lungs still are coughing up stuff, and ask if all the stuff I choked on and breathed in, is a problem.
I sound like I am a smoker now!

My insurance will cover all the medical, but it will cost me out of pocket, for any dental consults and new x-rays.
Western Dental doesn't want to give me even photocopies of my x-rays without paying a $30 fee for only a simple Xerox of the originals!

Another angry patient, who apparently threw a fit at the front desk, until they gave him the Xerox for free, also needed to see another dentist, as his care was frighteningly poor, and the place was, "Like something out of the movie, "Jacob's Ladder", only worse!".

The flies in the waiting room were also in the "dental" area, on equipment, and patients!!!

I referred him to the clinic that I would normally go to. His new dentist said that she would help him out, for free, since Market street's Western Dental is infamous and is well known for exactly the things that both he and I complained about, she was quite understanding apparently.
Instead of him fighting insurance, or his paying the private practice 'out of pocket', she suggested a shortcut, and said that she could see him, and his suspect x-rays, at the free clinic where she goes to donate time.
If I have to fight my insurance, I will go to a free clinic too!

My insurance was already billed by Western Dental for all needed work. Even though it didn't happen, who knows what else they billed them for?

I will happily fight it out with my insurance, if this recommended dentist can help me back up my claims that there was work left undone, (even though it is in Western Dental paperwork that it was completed).

I intend to report Western Dental to both my insurance company, (as they charged them for work not done), and to any health authorities that will listen!

Flying body fluids, sprays of water from people's mouths misting the air as you walk by, and not even a paper curtain to stop it from hitting people walking by, is horrific!
Where is the Health Department???
I am going to call and find out!

OK - this place was so frightening that I actually got up and left. I was actually scared to sit in the waiting room (one lady was shouting, "I'm going to kill you b-tch" into her phone). A couple of the patients looked like they might be homeless. I'm not kidding. I waited for over 30 minutes for my appointment and they still hadn't called me.If you can go somewhere else, do it. One star isn't the right rating for this place, but it's the lowest thing I can give them.

I use to come to this dental office until I had the worse experience with them. I came in after months of waiting for my insurance to approve a root canal and my appointment was at 9 in the morning. Now you know that once a root canal has been started you cannot just get up until the dentist closes the wound. I sat there for 8 hours for this dentist to work on my teeth. There is words that can describe the horror that this office made me go through this day. The next day, my mouth was so sore that I could not open my mouth at all.

The receptionist chews like a llama and pivots her neck like a preying mantis--speed? crack?
Once the dental assistant was poking my mouth with the suction tube while staring off into the distance. The dentist said to her, "Hannah." Then, "Hannah!" Finally he had to yell, "HANNAH!" to get her to pay attention to what she was doing.
While getting a root canal, part of the drill bit broke off in my tooth and is still there.
Another thing: They will tell you that you need only so many fillings, and then once you agree to pay by signing a contract usually when you are all drugged up), they will decide you actually need root canals on every one. And the crown they give you will look like the dentist matched it to your other teeth with his eyes closed. (My crown is so bad that when I show it to people they literally cringe and ask "What is that?".
All this for only $4,000!
