I was referred to Dr. Subhas by my primary card physician for pain in my right hand/shoulder, which I thought was carpal tunnel. Luckily, a nerve test was negative. However, he has very little patience and got quite irritated when I kept persisting in asking him questions about tendonitis and carpal tunnel. When I asked him several questions about my condition, specifically regarding a series of cortisone shots I had from another office, he kept saying, "I don't know" and "I can't answer hypothetical questions" and started for the door even before I finished asking them! He told me to do some strength exercises with my hands, and when I asked him what kind, he said "common sense" ones. Obviously if it were common sense, I wouldnt have asked. And he kept saying that gaining weight might help with the pain, but I have been this weight my whole life and never had any pain until my stint as a transcriptionist. Another neurologist I saw a year before told me that my body type is NOT predispositioned for carpal tunnel, so I dont know why Dr. Subhas was so fixated on my weight. Needless to say, I will not go back and will seek help elsewhere. I have been to several doctors in my life, but he is by far the most impatient and least willing to listen or help. He is obviously one of those doctors that is in it for the money and not to help others.
