Verde is like any other asian boba place. They have a wide selection of drinks and snacks like any other place. But one of the several things that make the Verde in Mountain View stand out from the others is the atmosphere. The setting is very nice inside, although it is not spacious and can get crowded during peak time. When you sit in they serve the food in ceramic bowls and utensils. I also like the hours--it opens late so it's a nice place to go with your friends when you have nothing to do.

This one, also still spacious, is just a bit out of the way in all honesty. Its nice to be around so many restaurants but having it in downtown mountain view is kind of off.

My favorite pearl tea place is Fantasia, but since they don't have a fantasia on Castro street in Mountain View, Verde is a decent place. I thought their pearls were pretty good texture (not too soft and not too hard) and the tea was good too (I get the jasmine green tea by the way). I saw some people eating there, so I guess they have snack foods as well. I would go back here.

My wife bought one of their green tea pearl drink the other day as we walk by. The peral tea is pretty good (a little bit too much milk and not enough tea for my taste). We did not sit down but the place seems like a good place to hang out after a meal on Castro.

For me what sets the great bubble tea places apart from the good ones is the use of fresh ingredients. Verde Tea uses the powders, instead of blending with say, real taro. But this place is hip and a perfect place to stop off for a bubble tea after eating lunch in Mountain View.

The layout isn't perfect though, with the counter right by the entrance, and probably a few too many tables crammed into such a small space.
